Legacy warning on final mission
OK so it tells me that my community will be gone if i finish the mission. I've read to load up survivors in the community with stuff from your storage as it doesn't carry over. How many survivors can I load up? I have 11 people in my community at this time (too many I know)..first time getting this far with a Leader's story so any tips would be obliged.

You can have a total of 50 characters in your legacy pool. Survivors in your legacy pool keep their inventory, skills, and clothing. I recommend having some buffer survivors with great items in case you want a faster start. Good luck and congratulations on getting this far!

After you finish the legacy you'll be given a chance to add every member of your community to your legacy pool. They will ALL be added, if you want. However, there is a max legacy pool size of 50 characters total (so eventually you'll have to get rid of some if you get that many) and you can only start a new game with 3 of those characters at a time.

I usually only keep my really good survivors that I might want to use again, and I'll usually load them up with stuff that's relevant to their skills/role. For example, I always give my medicine survivors a rucksack of meds, sanitizing machine or cast maker facility mods, a stack of plague cure or plague samples, etc. And then fill empty spots with stacks of ammo or extra good weapons.

The advanced biochem station mod is really good to carry over if you have it (even if you don't use it, it sells for 1000 influence). I also always carry over the +2 outpost facility mod if I have it. I like to carry over rifle ammo press facility mod. A stack or two of whatever you use to kill plague hearts (I use C4, mostly) so that you can kill 2-3 plague hearts on day 1 or 2 of a new game. Carrying over rare-ish weapons is good, like the Timberwolf or Eternal Guard. If you're not sure which type of rucksack to bring, construction materials is probably the best on higher difficulties because its expensive to upgrade most facilities. Fill every slot on the characters you save to the legacy pool, even sidearms and rucksacks. Some people like to bring over a full stack of crafting parts (spare parts, ethanol, seeds, etc) because they stack up to 99, but I loot a lot early on so I never seem to need those, personally.

As my question sort of tags on. I just finished the mission (didn't think about the inventory but It doesn't matter) but it sas I got a "boon" - amenties - I finished with a builder as my leader (Glory was her name).

Now I kept everyone of my 12 members I had in my community - I sort of ballooned from 6 members to 12 members within the last few missions, people kept just coming to be recruited!

Anyway, do I HAVE to choose Glory (the builder) to get the benefit of amenities? Or can I start with other survivors and still get it?

Which kind of makes one of my survivors defunct, as she has Utilities as a trait which seemingly does the same thing as the "boon" does.

Thanks in advance.

The boon applies (if you select it) to any community you form at that level or easier, no matter if it is new survivors, legacy survivors, or that builder.

EDIT: Utilities is not necessarily defunct. They can upgrade to plumbing and provide level 2 latrines. Or they could specialize in electrical and provide a solar array and/or refrigerated storage for you on another game if you choose not to use the builder boon (because you are using others you will earn).

Hopefully that helps!

I have kept them all. I have found though I had a lot of the same special skills in that pool so once I finish this one which I think I'll do trader legacy next, I'll file them down somewhat.
