I do have to look after them a bit though and occasionally one does die but not very often.
Indeed! they are real good especially during low resources...e.g ammo :D
True, I am thankful for all the nice stuff they came up with, I just feel like AI should have been prioritized. It makes me laugh how they put an emphasis on "not going out alone" in radio messages and some handwritten signs you can see in the game while having such a terrible behavior on followers and AI in general, like enclaves telling you to come in when they need help while they run out the back door the moment you enter their house xD
Truly great devs would've fix that years ago.
The FBI rifle does miracles with followers, they turn Super Sayain with them :D
It even tweaks them to be nearly too passive (Lethal mode).
Can be found on nexus.
Use Boost Endurance in Infirmary. Give your companion a machine gun with some ammo, a Zedrenaline pill, and Enhanced Plague Cure bottle. Switch to a companion, use Zedrenaline, then Enhanced Plague Cure, and switch back. Done.
You have the Terminator as your assistant, who is immune to the Plague, to injuries, regenerates health and stamina, and has an infinite ammo.
But it's more l4d like.
