Magical Encalve
The Tenants is the natural cheating enclave when you threaten them you can easily kill two of them and the third one will instantly kill you regardless your health.

I just lost an survivor at full health instantly get kill by a cheating survivor npc with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pistol after I killed two of them unharmed

I threw a pipe bomb to PH outside building WITH DOOR WIDE OPEN and pipe bomb bounce right back in my face and exploded on me as if the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ door is closed but its not

Sounds like something that would happen to wile e coyote lol.

no ♥♥♥♥♥ I literally looking at the PH inside a store and the door is wide open (I ran survivor into it to slam it open and all glasses were broken too because of the explosive shock wave), threw the pipe bomb toward PH THROUGH THE OPEN DOOR and watch the pipe bomb bounce in the mid air where the door is (but its open!!) back in my survivor face and cause me went from full health + 1-3% injury to 5% health plus 70% injury like what the actual ♥♥♥♥

As combat continues their aim gets better.
Difficulty matters.
Avoid these kinds of missions. There just isn't any worth reward aside from gaining leader type boons (I think Warlord and sheriff have fights at the end).

If taking them on then make sure to do so properly (or just exploit stupid AI like a scummy bastard). USE COVER (this is soooo many shooters ppl don't do it, it HELPS), use good weapons, bring healing. Don't use survivors with 100 hp (GAWD!!). Put them down hard and fast and make sure they stay down.

yeah 8=) ofc it is recommended to hit the hole and not the door :), same for not completely broken windows chrchrchr ;)
fighting human NPCs feels the same :) you shoot them in the head and they duck don't cover *g* duck ´don't cover & duck ´don't cover lalalala :) that is soooo riidiculous that sometimes i don't know if i should laugh or get frustratet because of this AI. this game needs a Matrix Neo animation :winter2019coolyul:

i highly recommend to take games and ofc this game not tooooo serious and i also expect a big change of this AI in SoD3. i really don't wanna see this in SoD3, i laughed enough and it gets old :)

and yeah, i also lost a survivor because of a 1hit kill from a trade scammer NPC buut i have savegame backups - pfahaha (pro tip 8=))

Which missions are you talking about?

The Threatening Aholes enclave always either leaves with a lot of your stuff or turns hostile. Why wait? While they await your reply, go into their house, throw a Drone Strike marker at their feet and then hide somewhere nearby (on the roof ideally) while they are being slaughtered. Just beware that when the first one of them dies, the two others go hostile.

The same goes for the Useless Whiners enclave, who are equally useless. No time for that, lure in the zeds and wait.

Once you've played through the Cannibals enclave storyline once or twice, you know the drill. Next time they turn up, go over there and get the Influence for turning up. Then zed them to death.

Not to mention the Zombie Hunters enclave. No time for that once you've done it a couple of times. Zombie feeding time.

The other Special enclaves all offer recruit options at least, so they aren't air thieves.

I'm talking about in general any mission that involves need to kill hostile enclaves - none of them post any threat - NOR ANY OTHER hostile enclave I chose to engage that's outside mission boundary.
The reason no one knew what you were talking about with naming the hostile group is because the enclave names are random. Better to describe the actual mission you were one, then people will know immediately.

As to them posing no threat and just leaving them on the map, that's not always an option. sometimes if you ignore hostile enclaves the game takes care of them with a zombie assault they radio you about or the crossbow killer. Some will always stay, and that's a problem. they are occupying valuable enclave slots which could prevent the special traders from spawning, or prevent calling in a RT if you have the Prestige.

The difference is how you get rid of them. Either bloater gas in a surprise shock and awe attack, or use the vehicles to run them down.

Do everythign to avoid hostile humans on higher difficulties. Like you say, they have bot aim and can headshot you with a 22. pistol from halfway across the map.

The only reliable tactic is to try and sic a horde on them. NPCs are terrible at dealing with multiple zombies, and the extreme anti-player bias means they will stare straight at you (make sure you break line of sight) while the zombies kill them. God forbid they take 3 seconds to deal with the thing killing them instead of trying (and failing) to path to the player because PLAYER MUST DIE RARRGH.

God tier AI, truly.

But there are special enclaves (other than bounty dude), and they are named and listed. They don't stray away from their "specialized" description. Like

The Tenants - Weapon hoarders of the region (Hackers)

Giant Gearheads or Crazy Mechanics - Autoshop

The Blood Plague Doctors - Plague cure or overrun if arrive too late or too close to mission expire

The Helpless Survivors - Demand food twice then move on or demand once and get murdered by a temporarily spawn hostile enclave

Zombie Hunters or The Last Militias - Ex-military personnel

The Drunkards, The Brewmasters, The Pub Hoppers - making alcohol supplies apocalypse style

There's tons more like this, SOD 2 wiki have the list but its not complete list. They are obviously different from regular enclave like "The Aimless Wanderers", "The Hungry Survivors", "The Occupants", "Early Risers", "The Zombie Killers", "The Farmers", etc.

What separates the "special" enclaves from regular enclaves to my understanding is that they often provide rarer enclave bonus and/or have one of a kind quests.

Taking Zombie Hunters (or The Last Militias) as examples, their quest is help them retrieve supplies (AK-47 usually) from old base with one of them follows you then can't do it and bails, bring gun back or keep gun to turn them hostile; then second quest ask you to find the bailed survivor and bring him/her back or help him/her escape or recruit

They have many more names than that.

https://state-of-decay-2.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Special_Enclaves

Each one of them have 10+ different names.

The Blood Plague Doctors is just a mission. All missions spawn an enclave of 1-3 survivors that you interact with in som way. The Special enclaves have a longer storyline (more missions) than the others, and they are specific ones for each enclave. Regular enclaves have max 2 missions; one to get to friendly, one to get to Allied. Those missions are usually shorter; bring them a rucksack, kill a Feral etc.

What can get confusing is that the Trader's ex-military enclave mission (a strange request) spawns an enclave with the same looks and names as the Soldiers special enclave. These will, if the mission is cancelled when you change Leader type, eventually spawn regular enclave missions like asking for rucksacks.

It is also possible that the Sheriff's meet the neighbours mission spawns three enclaves, one of which is the Drunkards special enclave (just the enclave without the special missions). If you go through the mission, they will be dead - but again if this mission has spawned and you then change to a different Leader type without initiating it, those three enclaves will also eventually become regular enclaves and start asking for rucksacks and such.

On the side note, this no longer relates to OP but apparently one CAN have more than 1 enclave benefits from single enclave. I just helped 2 more enclaves and both of them added additional enclave bonus atop of their default allied bonus.

Just had this same thing happen to my strongest survivor on standard difficulty. Dropped her in 1 hit as a follower. The enclave was called "The Remainders" so I don't think its exclusive to the tenants. Happened during my Trader Legacy quest where you confront an enclave about their plans to ambush your trade summit meeting. I am a little devastate ngl. No sense for that to happen, and I hope they fix it, but I still love this game. RIP Dickinson you were a tough SOB!
