Crossbow Bug?

So recently my crossbow bolt recovery only works with the Echo X-1? Both the hunting crossbow and the X-2 are giving me zero recovered bolts, even in characters with maxed Resourcefulness.

I haven't tried a new game yet as I'm close to the end of a run, but it's curious, right?

Anyone else get this?

Hey,

When using both the hunting crossbow and the echo-x2 sniper crossbow your bolts will pierce through zombies.
Meaning if you have open space behind the zombie you're aiming at, the bolt will keep traveling until hitting something like a wall/three/car or until the arc of the bolt makes it hit ground.

Try hitting a zombie with a wall just behind him or a three and see if you recover your bolt

I had thought of that, but thank you! Could've been a rookie mistake. Alas, I use them largely on infestations, when there's a whole house right there and still nothing. Not one. Maybe they're glitching through the houses and out the other side? I don't know. Fortunately I don't usually play on higher difficulties (it's not as good for casual unwinding when you hit a pack of blood ferals every ten feet :p ) so I can just keep using the X-1 without any trouble. I only brought it up because it struck me as interesting and maybe helpful to point out.

I think the odds of recovery is lower for Standard bolts.
