Shots in the dark - discoveries

Anyone already found the Echo Guns with the new discoveries system ?

The first one is easy enough - the quest marker leads you to it once you have Captain Logan in your community.
The whole thing starts in the north of the map at the tunnel leading to Mt. Tanner. The tunnel is blocked by plague stuff and you find the Assault Rifle there.

There will be spoilers from here on, so stop reading if you like to do these discoveries yourself.


The note you find when searching the corpse at the tunnel leads to the old mill - it's a short walk to the south east. There is a corpse in the mill which has the Pistol and a note pointing to the farmlands and it mentions the sniper of the group going ahead to setup in a sniper perch, covering the retreat of the group.

That's where I'm stuck. I've searched the Farmlands - everything from the farm buildings themselves to the sprinklers in the fields. I've also checked the campsites and abandoned trailers in the fields although the note mentions a sniper perch which should be high up somewhere.

The hills north of the farmlands were promising and there is indeed a campsite there but no lootable corpse either.
There is also the very high up location north west of Spencers Mill which would be imo a very good sniper spot, there is even a weapons cache there, but no echo gun.

To be safe, I also checked every roof in spencers mill - no luck there either.

So, again did anyone already find these guns ?
Or better, do you have an idea where a good spot to search would be ? Maybe I've missed some clue ?
