There is just no getting rid of it. You can try ignoring it but it will always come back. They really need to add, a NO WE ARE NOT DOING THAT to all the personal quests. Perhaps a STOP ASKING stage.
But yeah, I hate that one too. That and the Prepper aunt are the two I see most followed by eagle eye (Im a CHAMPION!).
I think I have completed them all once except for the Brother is a cop. I never get past the first stage for that one (More stages just never come up during the game in the time I have).
The character having it specifies that it is not street drugs, but black market prescription medicine. Then there is a numbskull in your community that comes with ridiculous complaints like "is it legal? Are we going to get in trouble?".... we're in the zombie apocalypse who cares!
Anyhow, there is no "getting high" in the game. There are no negative repercussions from picking up the meds, other than the random imbecile getting a small morale penalty for half a day or something. They are just Meds. Free meds spawning in for you to take in a 2-minute mission.
The quest itself is fine, I just don't need to have it pop every game...EVERY GAME.
EVERY GAME
I don't think you get how it pops EVERY TIME IN EVERY GAME.
See how I am belaboring my point. Probly getting under your skin.
It's like that.
Repetative and Annoying.
Edit: I mean it's no Trumbal Valley Radio Promo.....but it's a close second.
that reminds of funny screw up by the game with it, in first map when i arrived where the brother was in the garage with closed door and there was also a car nose inside a door and cause door was trough cars nose it was shaking and started to burn i was like nope not going near it and it blew up killed brother and when i went near it it just changed the mission to like u found brother dead didn't fail the mission
from the TXT he said it was clear it was meant to get high, ppl on drugs in that type of a word are disaster can cause ur hole group to die, i know not in this game
second he said hes not sure so they stil mite be black market made
ok but the one i got when i had to explain why forgot the words but it clearly hinted that he wants to get high
No, one of the community members mistakes his intentions, or don't believe him. It is he/she that hints that the Meds he is bringing back are for getting high, not the character whose mission it is who repeatedly says that it's not what is going on at all.
The concept of "illegal drugs" in the zombie apocalypse is laughable, although one of the concerns that is legitimate is given by the complaining character when you finish the last mission and he/she warns that we don't know where those drugs came from. But then again, unless you have a character trained in medicine in the community, any use of Meds by your survivors is technically off-description.
The Meds you bring back aren't distinguishable from other Meds in the game in any way.
Even knowing that, I don't have a problem with this mission because it is actual medicines you use in the game. Each rucksack actually says what is in the bag. You can even go further, and if you want to be very inefficient about it, open it up and you'll get a couple of painkillers of some type, no different from any other in the game.
The problem in the game is with the other person and them still being hung up on a world where stolen prescription drugs are not legal to sell or obtain, not the drugs,
if u pay attention it becomes clear its not about medical use or maybe u got different version of this mission, and some of hes words clearly hinted that cause its so fed up he would like to drown hes issues in fun land what drugs can give
The one going after the stash of PRESCRIPTION medications which many people used illegally prior to the apocalypse. Now that there is No market for it, the first person recognizes that these PRESCRIPTION drugs, developed for actual medical uses, can be useful to the community. The second person is completely uptight and cannot get past the fact of why this batch of PRESCRIPTION medications was hidden in the first place, and is unable to see how they could be useful now, because they are still stuck in the past.
After the 2nd mission the 1st person says "why don't you let people deal with the apocalypse in their own way" not because it's about having fun with drugs. It's because they are exasperated at this point having to try to get through to this 2nd person that they could be beneficial. If they were for recreation and fun, the first person would have kept them and distributed them for profit, not put them in the actual medical locker.
After the final mission, the 2nd person has had their mind changed, because you know, people have actually been using the meds in between the first and last missions. They thank the first person. The first person makes a mental JOKE about the 2nd person now liking them and them being addictive, because it is a play on the attitude the 2nd person had the whole time.
The entire mission, while it provides beneficial meds (which is the hardest resource to find in the game) to the community, is also a gag, a joke or commentary about people being stuck in the past and unable to adapt and see the entire forest because they are looking at one tree. If you don't want to do the mission, don't do the mission for reasons, but you're denying your community legitimate pharmaceuticals (at least 2 rucksacks, sometimes 3) which are the hardest resource to find in the game.
You are wrong. The mission is about meds. You misunderstood or you misread it.
Google it
Your survivor tells the community that they used to work as a distributor for someone who could get pharmaceuticals without prescription, so they decide to bring some meds for the community.
Your mission is to travel to the restaurant where your survivor used to pick up the prescription drugs. After finding it you must return home to deposit the meds.
Before you would do so, one of your community members wants to talk with you about the drugs. They'll tell you that if you want to bring drugs into the community, you might have trouble. Talking to them is optional, however it can affect the upcoming missions. After you deposit the meds to your Storage, the mission ends.
If you talked to them, they'll tell you the following: I guess it shouldn't matter where you found them. I hope they help.
If you didn't, their reaction will be the following: Check the expiration date on those drugs, people. We don't know where they came from!
The most important bit is cut from this; the person who complains says to you at some point "are you sure we won't get in trouble!?" The sheer stupidity of that question insta-disqualifies whatever opinion the NPC has on the matter for eternity.
