Error Code 5.
I have been playing this game with my friends for a good chunk of this month, but after the last update 27, two of my friends have been getting an Error Code 5 when they attempt (and fail) to join my game. I can join theirs with no problem. We all did file verification on our games. The multiplayer option is open and we all see "Join Game" on Steam, but they can't enter mine no matter what I try.

Any advice?

Look in windows settings apps and features. Look toward the bottom of the list for "Xbox Console Companion" and uninstall it.

The open the MS Dtore and look for app updates in the library.

If you then open the "Xbox" app itll prompt you to install "Gaming Services" if you dont have it already

After update 27 my game locks up everytime no mater what I do, how do I get rid of update 27. I have reinstalled the game and still it locks up.

Locking up? Thats typically from incompatible mods

That is with ZERO mods, I thought it might be the case so I uninstalled ALL mods and then uninstalled the game, then reinstalled the game only(no mods), still happened. I ran other games, didn't lock up. Only with State of Decay 2 Juggernaut Edition, It didn't do it until update 27
