That's what i did to get my True Grit.
Overall, i changed maps 5-6 times, looting every map 100% and also trying out every base on map for added entertainment.
In the end, my community that got me True Grit, finished on day 145, since i was on day 91 when Trumbull Valley map released. And just for safe measure, i waited until day 100 and when True Grip popped, before changing into Trumbull Valley at Nightmare difficulty.
Honestly, any other goal you set for yourself is more entertaining than finishing Legacies. Including writing messages on a field with cars or seeing how many legless zombies you can lure into a house or something.
Amongst other things I collect Cars.

Honestly, that sounds like a great idea. There's a few bases I've never touched even though I've played on each map atleast 8 times.
While some bases are located at the map border and doesn't appeal in normal game, they may have unique built-in and/or interesting layout, giving some benefits to it. Also, change of scenery is also nice.
For example, Cabin Park Motel in Drucker County, in my opinion, has one of the nicest scenery around it. And it has few other benefits as well. Though, it is most likely skipped in normal gameplay due to it's poor location and having only 2 parking slots.
