Kill 35 Zombies While Crouched

Good afternoon, folks.
I was working on unlocking some of the new gear and I got a challange to kill 35 Zombies while crouched. The first 14 worked just fine, but after that I make no progress. None of my kills seem to count, no matter what I do.
Does anyone know exactly what they mean by "Crouched".
I am pretty sure that I killed the first 14 with headshots while crouched, but that doesn't count any more. I've melee killed a few, and that doesn't seem to work either.
I assume that I am just doing something wrong here.

I did it several days ago and I did just like you say : crouched (stealth mode) then head shots or backstab, both worked.

Dumb question anyway : are sure the challenge is still active ? Is it written in the top right of your screen ? Maybe you disabled it the last time you spoke to the guy.

Yep, it's active. I actually abandoned it and restarted it. No change.

Well, tonight's update broke some stuff and add crashes, maybe something impacted the challenges.

Is it regular zombies or a certain type?

I was wondering why my bounty to kill 65 zombies with a revolver while crouched didn't update from 64, then I noticed it's for plague zombies (it had been a week or two).

Alas I have cleared all the hearts, so I'll do it when I join a friend's game.

remember when i done a bounty that only need "crouched kills" without mentationing any other parameters it needed to be backstab E finishers to count.
