Dumb question about gun attachments....

Sorry fellow Steamers, couldn't find an answer online for this.

How do I attach/add a weapon mod (ie suppressor/brake, etc) onto a gun?

According to the tool tip on the bottom, it said hit "F'. I have only the rifle equiped (no side arm), I highlight the brake, hit F & nothing.

Please help a dumb survivor.

actually mate , u must press t to attach or detach mods from weapon , and only equippable weapon.

yes , that is also , true such as dogfight ppsh , it has integral suppressor

if it has a little jigsaw icon you can attach something that fits for the weapon type with pressing f when pointing at the attachment, you than get the list of weapons that can get this attachment out of your equiped weapons.
maybe the brake wasnt for that rifle type? you cant equip all attachment types on all weapon types (example: no silencer on pumpguns)

When I press F while having the attachment highlighted, a little window appears where I select the gun I want to put it on.

As has been said already, some guns can't take attachments, and chokes are only for shotguns.

If the gun can take an attachment and you don't get the little gun attachment window popping up, try restart the game to see if it's a weird bug. If this doesn't work, go to the official website and send them a bug report.

Some weapons do not support some attachments, for example I've had a revolver with that puzzle icon "accepts muzzle mods". I couldn't attach any of the existing silencers to it, though attaching a brake to it was successfull.

Guess your rifle's story is similar.
