How can people keep playing this game over 50-100 days(in-game)?

Is thre a time-limit? At least I don't know of anyone... But yeah, you probably won't need 50-100 days to complete a map...

There always new quests to keep you busy; and usually people that playing so long do it on advanced difficulties, often to unlick the Steam Achievement.

I usually take 1 in game week to complete the game on the regular difficulty level.

And no, there is no time limit, as long as you don't complete the last Legacy mission of your leader, the game can be played forever. And if you managed you base well, you can be self sufficient and produce exactly what you need, or even a bit more; so you don't depend of what you loot to keep your base running.

If you move to a new map or change difficulty the number of days that you played will just continue from where you left.

After ransacking the whole map and destroying all the hearts some people just changed map.

I've managed to wrack up more than a few 50+ day sessions. I like to follow a map all the way to the final showdown, then leave town to another map to rinse and repeat. I think my longest session has been 3 full trips through each map. It's fun and something to do other than watch the ending... again.

After starting dozens of communities i now have a lethal community at day ~433 and it's just grinding AF but still fun to play though! Thousands of ammo rounds (i will never need i guess) and 1000+ C4, hundreds of grenade launcher 40mm ammo ... yes everything is overpowered at this point but after all the lost communities it's fun to play this community again every now and then ;)

For "True Grit" I alternated between idling for 15-20 days and scavenging the maps for the rucksacks needed to survive. Rotating maps also helped quite a bit!

LOl, i must be doing this wrong but trying to collect as many c4 to destroy 0ver 20+ plague hearts on lethal on my 2nd map.

100 days has got to be the worst achievement ever, the time cycle in game is 2 hours for 1 day/1 night, so you need at least 200 hours just for this one and if you didn't start doing it from the start but after you did everything else it's the worst achievement out there, even worse than grinding Daybreak.

For fun. Some people enjoy the gameplay loop, and you can keep going forever. I mean, I don't understand how people enjoy grindy, shallow MMORPGs either. But I know it's because they enjoy the loop.

I'm at around day 30 on my Lethal 100 days and am already bored to death. I was completely fine on resources even before day 15, took out all hearts by about day 10, and only changed maps to give myself something to do at around day 22. Now at around day 30 on my 2nd map, all hearts dead again, only 2 towns left to loot, plenty of allied enclaves.

I honestly don't know if I'll make it to 100 days. I've seen all the questlines, all the stories, there's just not enough content to fill 100 days, really not enough to fill 50 days, and the majority of stuff I loot I don't even need so even looting isn't satisfying anymore.

My current game has spanned across all 4 maps and I'm at day 76 right now. I don't really know why I'm doing it, I guess I'm sort of like playing "make believe" with my toys without any concrete agenda.

Sometimes i just want pure madness... Soooo.... i´m gonna kill... i destroy... i slaughter.... over and over and over and over and over..... ^-^ Playing Lethal without cure.... most of the time i try so hard to rescue them just so that I can execute them myself :D Even after the 100 days achivment and most others.... the only thing i didnt do so far was to repeat the heartland o.o I dont wanna lose them and start over q.q So i will never get these achivments.....

One more thing while im at it xD
The only thing that still scares me is.... when i´m out WITH a npc from my community and i hear a pack of ferals running towards me..... caus someone will definitly die there c.c

I like to make my current community stronger against zeds. I usually like to spend time slowly making characters more efficient in the fighting and other similar skills.

Get someone with Recycling, Lichenology and either soundproofing or fishing as your 3 mains and you can play forever in one map. Also helps if you completed before and pick trader and builder legacy then well,,, you'll be rich and coast forever
