Three juggernauts
Hi I started to play (one level harder than standard), had a great community (very highly skiled) of 6 people with no losses for three days, then got one mission in the south western area (Village with street blocked with traffic and the firehouse base opportunity). I don´t know the game at all, just playin. So I decided to take a look into the firehouse, went up the stairs to the top. I don´t know how and why, but when I went inside and up the stairs first one, then two, then three juggernauts came with all the city of zombies - I couln´t get down again from the roof. I lost all of my community in trying to get things back from the first guys ripped apart.

I think situations like that are a game design problem and shouldn´t appear. Game Over for me . Situations like that are beyond "hard" and left me desperate and not wanting to play again-

Groups of 3 special zombies is pretty common in higher difficulty levels. In Heartland screamers, then ferals, then juggernauts, all plague raided the base and one of the jugs tore Malik in half. Felt bad. The groups of 3 can be nice if you're doing freak zombie bounties for the van guy though.

With juggs, running is almost useless if they're on you. Focus on the heads and hope for the best. You can hit escape to pause and force close the app but that's cheese sauce and only works if the active one you're playing is about to die. And it won't feel any better really.

Huh? It's easy to outrun Juggs, lmao. Just climb over ♥♥♥♥. Shooting them with a weakass gun is a complete waste of time and ammo. That's only an option if you have a full auto or a .50 AMR.

OP, dying is not bad game design. You made bad decisions. The only way you could have drawn the Juggs in was if you were making enough noise to tell them you were even there.

As to then CONTINUING to lose community members... bruh. Like, just wait until the hordes despawn. Why would you CONTINUE sending people into the meat grinder if the horde was still there and you weren't equipped to deal with it?

I'll go ahead and give you a secret weapon. If you back up into zombies, you can run everything over without actually damaging your car's HP. You can also kill Juggs like this, but it'll take several rams to kill just one.

Here I am just finshing leathal zone and you can't handle dread zone? I started playing the game on nightmare and lost my 6 or 7 cumunities there until I got the hang of this game. I literally learned the basics of the game in nightmare zone. I am not boasting or anything but to claimplain about "game design issues" because you you continue to stupidly suicide into juggernauts or pathetic. You IGNORE them. READ AGAIN. IGNORE! They can not more into buildings. NPCs will kill them for you. You just move away and come back later. They are literally the least problem in the entire game. Blood ferals are the issue if 2 or the charge at you and your car is going to explode. THAT is scarey, hordes are scrary. Juggernauts are laughable. I think they nerved them. A few verysion back then used to destoy my cars all the time. Now they just push them arround and nothing happens.

Poor boy plays on dread and wants not to play again because he got his ass kicked - w8 for it. By slow stupid enemies that are no thread at all. Cry me a river. Yeah stop playing, that game is not for you obviously you just think or want to kill everything on your screen. That is NOT the way to play this game. Seems news to you.

Well, I didn´t even know what Juggernauts do or what they are before three attacked me. Later I learned by killing one, how long it takes. Also trying to kill them by car showed me that they probably take no damage from cars and the car behaves like hitting a wall, so I didn´t expect they actually get some damage from cars. The noise I made was just killing zombies, but as always...my AI partner had to shoot. I hate my AI partners behaviour in all the game. Why the hell is my partner starting fights with hordes while I try to walk past them. Most of deaths come from my partner deciding to start a massacre and then getting massacred, sometimes including myself trying to rescue the idiot AI.

as said I´m new to the game, it was my first run. It´s not possible to get out the fire house when you´re on the roof and the house is filled with Zombies. I adress this as game design issue, maybe because I´m new to the game. As a customer I found this situation too hard. I lost my best people with best equipment. Also I don´t know about "despawns", I tried to get the best items I had (bought for lots of cash) and important "vaccine" back. With the equipment I had, all the ammo and stuff, I didn´t even kill one juggernaut, but there was three and 50 zombies all over me, as soon as I climbed the ladder from roof to 1st floor. The situation was impossible to solve technically. Running back there with the rest of the crew probably wasn´t a good choice, but as said...I didn´t know how long it takes to take down one juggernaut, even with explosives and fire, might be good if there was some info on juggernauts before meeting three.

Whenever you are surrounded by Z's always try do (spam) dodge to free your char and then run away if necessary!
My absolut No.1 rule in this game is : Always keep at least 1 energy drink (or similar) in your inventory in case you have to run away because of a hopeless situation (like this) !!!

If you have a vehicle you can kite juggs and ferals away from the place you're trying to get to then circle back and won't have to deal with them. But you have to see them before they see you most of the time for that to work. On foot, with enlisted followers.. no bueno. AI can be derpy and that gets them killed on higher difficulties. But if you get everything agroed to you and jump on a car roof, they can sometimes solo everything while you hold agro standing on the roof. Just not freaks.

If something like that happens again one thing you can do is stay on the roof and crouch, hope for minimal losses. When you crouch people following you will try to stealth and move close to you. Doesn't always work though and anyone being attacked is still probably going to die. You might save one or two more though.

Thanks, when my frustration is gone I try another session.
Considering not giving my partners any loud guns any more - if they behave they get one with silencer. Is this a reasonable solution for AI other people practice as well??

You might get away with it on Dread, not sure. On higher difficulties even silenced guns will make noise and cause more zombies to spawn. You'd use all your ammo and gun durability and have more zombies and probably even freaks still spawning around you. I've never had any luck using followers outside of the base. If they're not getting in the way they're getting themselves killed. Most of the times I get myself killed out solo its from something that would not have been prevented by having followers with me.

Fire bombs are the only thing I've found so far that will clear zombies and not bring in more with every shot, and they're not too easy to come by.

By the way, Prescott Fire Station makes a great base, it's where I'm at now. There's a fire truck crashed through the gate in the front you can get on top of and shoot juggs in the head. When he gets around to one side you move to the other end of the truck. Ferals can still get up there and mess you up though. Standing on it here.

losing your loved ones or the entire community is part of the game, regardless the difficulty

This isn't a "design problem" this is gameplay. You took a risk checking something out and it didn't pay off. Learn from your lesson. You should have taken the loss and not gone to recover the gear from your dead member. It's a risk / reward situation.

I typically leave companions at the base, they are too stupid to bring out. Sometimes I bring them to act as walking backpacks, but it’s usually not worth it.

Most of my play time is on Dread and I have never seen three juggernauts at once.
