But if you do the Builders Legacy and use that boon when starting a new campaign you won't need to worry about water and power....at least in the same difficulty setting.
legit majority of the built in kitchens require solar array for the action speed buff. i hate this. in order to even make it useful i have to sacrifice trader amenity.
I had my base in the Firestaion (Nightmare mode) for around 50 IG days and I used the built-in generator to power the base, a fuel outpost gave me enough fuel to keep it running 24h/24 (and water is free so...).
So, if you can afford the fuel cost and the small noise, I'd say just use the generator and don't use the solar array to save a large spot.
PS : I don't know if it works, but there is small solar array mod, maybe you can put it in the kitchen to get your bonus and save a large slot ?
Do they get harrassed? Because I prefer it over the Lumbermill. The Biker Bar will be always be my first love though at least on the Providence Ridge Map (I think that is the one we are talking about).
I honestly cannot understand why anyone would care what base anyone else uses. Use what you can and what works for you.
Ehm, just build the Trading Depot, call in traders and sell stuff so you can afford both a Power and a Water outpost.
solar array needs a buff that makes it usefull if you already have power solution. or they need to decouple action speed from needing it and just remove it. or they can do something about the overpowered builder amenity.
for me solar array is pointless.
Yes but the OP talked about Solar Array - presumably not having Amenities yet.
even if he doesnt have the amenity yet, hes asking if the solar array is worth it if you already have a power solution.
the answer is no. it takes up a large slot and the only real buff is cooking station action speed if you already have power.
with haven now you dont even need watch towers or any kind of noise reduction station/mod. they need to do a balance pass on base stations.
