So, I cannot train anyone in mechanics. It's in a constant state of "Requires you to be in outpost to use action" even while at the home base. Reloading doesnt work, uninstalling may lose the save.

Its because you need to bring that survivor you want to train personaly to the damn outpost to unlock that option. Alternative is that you find a book about mechanic than use it with a character you wish to train in. I really dont get it what is the problem here? Even tutorial explains how this stuff works...i think.

Its easy. Choose the survivor --> walk/drive to the outpost--> activate outpost screen--> choose train skill that is now unlocked--> bam solved.

In a case that you a reffering this as a bug and that options do not unlock even if you are at the outpost than my apologizes. I never had that kind of bug soo...sorry.

I feel you could have figured out it was a bug without going on some tirade, but yes this is a bug problem.

Do you have free slot? You must have free slot for skill to train, if you have already skill filled with something like cooking you cant change that skill, specialisation skills cant be retrained.

This game is years old and this issue is pretty major. Part of a base you can't remove and doesn't work correctly, that's a good issue to be upset about.

It's entirely possible that A) Everyone assumes someone else submitted it and no one did, or B) Not enough people have submitted enough for them to see a pattern and figure out where in the code that they didn't write 5 years ago the error is, or C) It's entirely beyond their capabilities (Like the Prescott Scout Tower bug) and have thus decided it is "not a priority."

I had this but with Chemistry.
How I "un-bugged" it was buy selling it to my allies (the textbook) and then buying it again.
Ok I lost about 50 influence or something in difference. But I go the survivor to learn Chemistry.

Also, maybe its intentional, as I wouldn't be able to just learn Chemistry and be a Walter White overnight neither.
