Are the Builder's endgame recruits good survivors?
It's so long since I did that Legacy that I don't remember if they were worth keeping or not. Have anyone experienced no 5th skill or quirk skills of the type you can buy from the Rare Skills Trader? Lots of drawbacks?

I might just clear out a map just to go to 12 survivors, then move on to the next map and continue my merry-roll-around. But only if they are not regularly just useless eaters...

If you don't like the survivors who come to your base you can just switch characters from your leader and wait for the mission to pop up again for new visitors.

Ok thanks. I think I will do that, then. Kick out the Computers guy to go down to 9, and re-roll untill I get three decent survivors.

Are you sure you need to do that? I thought you could hire them one by one and go up to 12 in this case.

Hm... they come as a group and you are prompted to recruit all of them yes? I seem to remember to be told that I need to eject someone in order to fit in the new group... but that must be a year ago at least.

Just tested it. On the first group there are three but you can choose to recruit only the leader, it will cost you an alcoholic beverage or ethanol.
After that there is a group of two, one with blood plague.

Did you have to recruit both of them? Wasn't like you could choose to recruit only the one who did not have plague?

Recommend backing up your save to revert if the survivor is someone you don't want after accepting them, instead of exiling such survivors. Reason is exiled survivors appear to linger on the save file, if you end up with too many survivors like 15 with 3 exiled the game can begin to crash when another survivor prompts for help.

It's possible to see some drawbacks on that page - and the "annoys other people" type is irrelevant now that they disappear completely above Cheerful.

So as long as they have 7 black stars in all skills and no 5th skill (or one I would like, for instance another Chemist), and their Health and Stamina seems normal - I'm happy.

Hero Bonus might be crap, you might have to do a quick level up to find out.
