Moving Bases

Im curious as to what happens if you move zones and then move back to the old zone you were in? I read once you move zones you lose all the vehicles, get refunded mats from your previous base and bring the people with. But what happens when you go back to the old zone, do you have to reclaim the base you were at previous and set everything up at it again?

Also other then having new plague hearts to destroy whats the point of moving to a new area?

The zone will have been reset, you'd be starting from scratch.

You're refunded most of the materials used to make your prior base and keep any of the cars you had in your parking spaces. You also keep everything in your bases inventory and any progression made with the Bounty Broker. The only thing you lose are the enclaves, outposts and any vehicle not in your parking spaces. Quests that involve your community recapping something, such as "I knew this police officer who..." are reset and may become part of a different community members dialogue. Even if you finished these quests they'll pop up again.

Going back to a map you were previously at will cause the map to do a full reset. This is useful for gathering rare weapons through the weapon caches or finding specific vehicles you were missing.
