Other people here seem to like the current system which is ok, but for me it's super disappointing.
This is what I am objecting to... it's just me leaving my reason for why me and others I know aren't buying the game. Thought it would be nice for the devs to know.
Yes for me too, the current coop is just dush bag. Yes if you have no coop partner but you want a multiplayer experience from time to time then okay, but for all others the current system is just boring. The Host is bussy looting,managing, crafting and run between base <> Loot Area and the others are hanging arround, couldnt do much. Also the difficulty drops so rapidly with multiplayer, its silly to call for friends. It just felt like GTA with zombies and not a Survival,Game with Zombies. On Nightmare.
Why is it so difficult to add a satisfying coop?!
Hope their will be changes in the future!

Everything is shared, all player in the same session can edit the base, select survivors, can loot the same boxes, save file etc. You can start a new map together or he joins you afterwards and get the same rights as discribed. If your save file doesnt match when you are joinning, it will be updated before.

Some Ideas:
1. Implement a Nemesis System like seen in other games (xcom 2) or/and
2. New Skills for Zombies on player count. Freaks can Climb on Obstacles, Or Screamers also revive zombies, or zombies destroying your lootable items, or Juggernauts can throw cars/obstacles at you etc. or/and
3. Plaque Hearts spawning special Bosses, something like Point 1. or separate unique ones or Juggernauts/plaque zombies are linked to them. If you start attacking, they charging to your location. Or directly spawn near them (Affects all in Range XY)
4. You need to gather special ressources from Juggernauts,Plaque Hearts or Quest to be able to attack Plaque Heart XY or get the hint were to find it.
5. Make your allies (Traders, Head Hunter, other communities) more vulnerable so you have to help them, otherwise their dead for your map.
6. Human enemies attacking your Base, Loot your boxes in their area, if you dont take care off them.
7. Balance some weapons, as an example BFG...
8. KI-Allies no longer have unlimited amount of Ammo for their Gun (depending on your difficulty)
9. Special Events on the Map, like Bosses with unique loot or a trader (with allies) crossing your map and you have a limited amount of time until they leave. Also your enemies will show up, because, hey, special loot/more loot:)
So im on the phone, thats enough text, but i think its not that difficult to find the solutions, just a question what can be made. But even slight adjustments would help (Share the communities/Base!!).
Its just, as many coop`s, a waste of potential.
Bounties should be update in april and we are still on critical response.
Database cosmetic is really huge when you look at all different caracter's game but we are still on the old crappy ones.
And I think... we are on the same cars model since day 1 of SOD2...
Three little things that give momentum to a game but shunned by UL. I really like Doug Wiliams job and Richard Foge work even if he's not UL anymore. But the programming team leaders and others... my god... I think they have good ideas but they lack will and guts.
But they don't claim to be AAA and they prove it. In a way, they work with a lot less pressure, less "Crunch Time" for them like other game studio, in a way what I wish for all business : Work and chill out !
(Rockstar's or Polygon's employees report 70 to 100 hours work per week before every milestone project)
So... do not expect anything from UL. If you go on official website and filter the "wishlist" by number of vote, have a look on how old are the good ideas, that says a lot.
i think u not really understand what i mean
maybe 1 guy playing on drucker and 1 guy on providence how are you going to make it possible to bring their base with them? (use the host base is possible right now)
base edit from host? yeah mods are ok, but no fac.
and what do you want to update on the savegame?
what if the one has killed 10/18 hearts and the host is still at 0/18 (assuming that both are playing on nightmare if not u have a prob ;) ) do I have 0/18 again just because I'm joining ?
but ur ideas are not bad .. some maybe a bit crazy for a perma death game but not bad ^^
