Some programs can alter your PC’s network settings with the purpose of disabling IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) networking components, which can include the Teredo tunneling adapter. You can determine whether Teredo has been disabled by running the following commands.
Check the iphlpsvc registry path:
In the search box on the taskbar, type cmd, and then open the Command prompt.
Run the following command from the Admin command prompt:
reg query HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iphlpsvc\Teredo
If the output includes the following line, Teredo has been disabled:
Type REG_DWORD 0x4
You can re-enable Teredo by running the following command from the Admin command prompt:
netsh interface Teredo set state type=default
Check the TcpIp6 registry path:
In the search box on the taskbar, type cmd, and then open the Command prompt.
Run the following command from the Admin command prompt:
reg query HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TcpIp6\Parameters
If the output includes the following line, and the value displayed is not 0x0, Teredo may have been disabled:
DisabledComponents REG_DWORD 0x8e
You can re-enable Teredo by running the following command from the Admin command prompt:
reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters /v DisabledComponents /t REG_DWORD /d 0x0
While some applications set these registry values to disable Teredo when the application is installed, others set them every time the application starts. If your PC has one of these applications installed, make sure you have the most up-to-date version, or see their support documentation to learn how to enable Teredo tunneling with their software.
* Asus Game First Service: Update to the latest version, or contact their support at http://asus.com/support.
As a workaround, you can also disable the service and re-enable Teredo with the following steps:
In the search box on the taskbar, type cmd, and then open the Command prompt.
Run the following commands from the Admin command prompt to disable the AsusGameFirstService, stop the AsusGameFirstService, and re-enable Teredo in the registry:
sc config AsusGameFirstService start= disabled
sc stop AsusGameFirstService
reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters /v DisabledComponents /t REG_DWORD /d 0x0
2. sign out of the xbox account in the windows xbox gamebar reboot the computer and power cycle your router.
From there heres the thread from the discord
Step 0: Check https://support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status
If everything is green continue.
Step 0.1: You need a save file with characters before you can host or join multiplayer
This is essentially the same for any store version of State of Decay 2.
1. Windows 10 is a minimum requirement. Check your version by typing winver in the taskbar and pressing enter. Versions before 2020 are EOL. So if you have versions 1809, 1903, 1909, or 20H1 you need to update. If windows update wont work we can figure that out. Ask for help in the main channel.
2. Make sure your timezone is set to the right one. You can check your timezone by typing cmd in taskbar then pressing enter. In the command line window that opens up type
tzutil -g
then press enter
Next, for steps 3 and 4 open the windows settings > apps and features list.
3. Scroll down to look for "Xbox Console Companion". If you have it, uninstall it. Its a system app from 1803 and earlier and no longer functional for newer games. Windows Store will occasionally try to reinstall it as its still considered a "system app". This is the number 1 issue people have, that I have seen.
4. Next, look for these three apps. You probably have some combination of them possibly with different names. These are the current names.
"Xbox"
"Xbox Game Bar"
"Gaming Services"
These are now default apps in windows 10 since 20H1.
From there reboot the computer, see if any windows updates or windows store apps want to update, and try multiplayer again.
People have been able to get it to work, but its not supported. One day it works and the next you accidently click the sign into multiplayer button and blamo it doesnt.
Im unclear what the bug or method to get it working is but its not supported so i never gave it any thought.
Also, the Multiplayer button was not clicked "accidentally", it have been clicked "on purpose" within multiple years.
From time to time there were some problems with Microsoft account (they always happen, that's why people on Steam hate when games come with stupid microsoft bullsheit), but since those problems were on Microsoft's end they disappeared after some time by themselves.
Current error says nothing about OS version, it says that there is a problem with "xbox account priviledges", which I don't even know what those priviledges are and how to get/change/remove/upgrade/control those said "privildeges".
Since the game hadn't been updated yesterday before the problem appeared, I can assume that Microsoft has broken something again on its end. I am seeking either confirmation of this assumption or a way to fix ix. You obviously aren't the one who can do either of that.
I looked around and someone said ages ago. they have the game working on windows 7 by disconnecting the internet when they turned on the game? Unclear if that will do it for you, but it should persist between game reboots if it does.
I have zero ways to test it
FIRST
Log out from any of XBOX app or GAMEBAR.
Close both of them, and then launch game from steam.
Log in to XBOX account from GAME
And after that link accounts, from game menu.
That solves 'Account privileges' - only one app can have access to yours Account privileges at a time and make sure its GAME that you play.
