Why i can't play Co-op?

won't let me join any game, i unlock multiplayer and nothing.

You have 3 ways to do this

They all require very specific things to be done first. Make sure your host turns on his multiplayer too.

Option 1: Hit, Alt+Tab access your Steam Overlay, access friends list. Invite said friend to your game. THEY MUST BE ON YOUR STEAM FRIENDS & XBOX FRIENDS LIST!

Option 2. Hit ESC Key. Should have 3 Empty boxes, Click one to invite said person. THEY MUST ALSO BE ON YOUR STEAM FRIENDS & XBOX LIST!

Option 3. Hit your Y key, Shoot a Flare. Someone can respond to said Flare & join your game, but it's random person. BUT: YOU MUST HAVE CLICKED GEAR SYMBOL ON START PAGE & TURNED ON MULTIPLAYER HOSTING. --- THIS APPLIES TO 1 & 2 AS WELL.

There is a game setting that you might need to enable...the same one that I have to disable so I can pause the game in single player.

i managed to fix my problem, i can join others now but my wife can't join me, she keeps having the same Error CODE: 1005, can anyone help me?

Look at my steps, have her do them, I literally gave you the means to fix most those issues.

Nah doesnt work for mine.
Still says "issue with account privileges, please check internet and try again later"

That's a different issue. Can you give me the error number, man I don't even work for Undead Labs, I feel I've done more I.T. work then them on their official discord

the way i fix it was factory reset my laptop and it works, i try all the options that people told me and nothing so i try that, hope this helps, and thanks JJDrakken for trying to help out.
