Providence region: best base?
What is the best base location in your opinion?
Thinking about the Firestation in the bottom left, or the Saw Mill.

Haven't tried anything other than the Firestation for 11/16 days now, it's alright I guess, is not too far from everything (gotta safe the fuel).. although the Juggernaut and Feral spawning in the right side of the base (near the gas station) is quite frequent.

Just got out of the first base. Didn't really need to switch bases too soon since I wanted to loot as much as I could in one area. I have a Driver so that helps on fuel to loot farther areas.

I'm at the truck stop right now. Its okay for a 2nd base. I'll probably try the next 1000 influence base and then move on to the others later on after I build up enough influence with my Trader.

Saw Mill is a nice size but it's unique 'labor for materials' bit is something I don't actually use. Due to traits, bonuses and such I'm already gaining 3 materials a day.
I didn't haven't tried the firestation yet.

firestation has alot of pre-built slots, saw mill is more free-form, either/or can be good bases

Well i settled with the Firestation now.
I like the urban location. And if you block of most of the entries with a car, also very good to defend.

I'm still waiting on a good Youtube review from vet players on it. I'd be interested how the bases here compare to other maps best ones.

Firestation would be my favourite - even though I do not need the water / energy supply it offers. But the other pre-build slots are quite nice.
Keep in mind that the sawmill has no small outside building slots, only large outside building slots. Which means that, unless you have the Sniper Tower unlocked through having the right leader, you are unable to build a watchtower (which gives you a constant morale debuff)

The Biker Bar/Auto Salvage is still my favorite. But only if you have an Automechanic and a computer person to remove the Cleo drop.

So? It has the equivelent of two large slots, built in sniper tower, more fuel storage than you'll ever need. Maximum parking spots and great location near power and water outpost spots if you don't have Builder legacy. Was easilly able to complete the map from there on my first playthrough.

u read my first post? firestation is a better version of the trucksstop (if u like the truckstop u wil love the firestation) ;)

Utility Room

Active: Start Generator (Power for 1h, Cost: 1 Fuel)
Active: Collect Water (Water 1h31m, Requires: Power)

u no need a water or power outpost

Scout Tower

3 Armed Guards (No Ammo Cost)
Radio Unlocks: Rooftop Recon
- 2 Zombie Threat
Active: Additional Threat Reduction (- 6 Zombie Threat for 1h, Cost 2 Ammo)

is the best tower ingame ... the whole roof is the tower( 2 guys looking in front and 1 the back side)

Firestation Workshop

Industrial Grade Spares (-15% Parts Costs)
Construction Tools (+25% Global Build Action Speeds, Requires: Rower)
Materials Recycling (+1 Materials per Day, Requires: Power)

i think is a little bit better then the normal workshop u can build ;D

Station Bathroom

Active: Clean the Toilets (Morale +10 for 31m)

Firehouse Kitchen

+50% Kitchen Action Speed
+10 Max Food Storage
active: 10moral 30stam

bath and kitchen is nice to have for the moral archivment

Emergency Services Training (Gym)

u can train ur cardio and wit of all member max with using it 1 time

Firefighter Bunks

+4 Beds

and the best thing is there is a bell tower on the other side of the street where you can shoot the bell ;)
