Sega I think. They got out of system development after sega dreamcast and focused on game making themselves and aquiring game licenses to be used by other publishers or by them. This is for games only. In Japan they are still big and are making their own games there. Movies I believe are owned by another company.

Alien Trilogy was originally owned by Acclaim Entertainment and distributed by Fox Interactive. Acclaim Entertainment was acquired by Acclaim Games and some other company I forget then ultimately some Korean company called We Go Interactive. Fox Interactive doesn't exist at all after much of their licenses were acquired by Vivendi before going out of business in 2006.

When Sega bought the AvP/Aliens video game license in 2006 they only bought the rights to future releases, not past games like Alien Trilogy, AvP2, AvP Classic, etc..

Basically this post is redundant just like the OP. It brings an absolute zero to this game. The biggest problem here OP is no one plays online. You need friends to do it. Who owns the Aliens name is not important. In the future please do not ask suck stupid questions here. You have internet, use Bing or Google for an answer. It's actually very easy to find it online. This forum is about this game only not who owns the franchise because litte Yea Buddy OP is like 5. Grow up OP.

^ LOL i was thinking the same thing...what a prick. Anyway Alien Trilogy is my all time favorite game, i still play it using a PS1 PC Emulator, can't beat the classics. I'd like to see it on Steam only problem is the PC version of the game sucked balls.

I've got both the PSX and PC versions of the game, though I only really played the PC version. It was a fun game, if not exactly state of the art even when it came out (though for PSX-level FPS gameplay it was good enough). It was kind of weird, canonically, too, the way it shoehorned all these sort-of locations from the first three films (shows how dated it is, that it pre-dates even Alien: Resurrection in 1997) with an attempt of making sense of your character being Ripley, armed to the teeth. Even as a kid at the time I always thought that was odd, but I was a bit of an Alien fanatic even then.

I played a bit of Alien Resurection again using the PS1 Emulator and i gotta say...didn't like it near as much as Alien Trilogy. And what i meant by sucked balls in regards to the PC version of AT was actually due to the change in sounds, it was all so...different and..ew kinda thing. But none the less i love all Alien games even the old side scroller ones.

Hehe I actually meant the film rather than the game, though I picked a copy of the PSX game of Alien: Resurrection last year, couldn't really get in to it much though I liked the atmosphere it had. I don't remember the sounds differeing between the PC and PSX versions of Alien Trilogy but it has been years since I would have really paid much attention to either version. I always did like the music, though. I remember playing Alien 3 on SNES when I was a kid, that was cool. I would really like to see a less combat, more RPG or survival horror oriented Alien game - something more inspired by the first and third films, rather than the usual Aliens action-fest - not that they are necessarily bad games (though some are of course), just it would be cool to have a different tone, something slower and more frightening.
