What's up with my flashlight?

I don't know what's going on with my flashlight. Only half the light shines depending on the wall. It's a really strange effect.

strange indeed....is the light always halved or only when shining in certain places?

seems more like a texture file issue than a driver problem because the line is specifically down the center. have you tried verifying cache integrity? Open steam library, right click ACM > properties > local files > verify cache

Have you tried to use the DX10 patch? the game looks a lot better and the lighting issues disappeared! give it a try!

Tried Verifying cache. Didn't work. I haven't tried the DX10 patch, though. Doesn't steam automatically update games?

Steam updates games with official updates only. Awhile back some people released a DX patch for those who really wanted their game to have a more up to date DX lighting. Updating the game with an unoffical patch may inadvertantly fix the flashlight problem but I do not really know...this issue is a bit beyond my random knowledge banks.
