Game wont launch

as the title says the game simply doesnt launch anyone know a fix?

go to the drive the game is located on then, steam library, steamapps, common, alien colonial marines, binaries, redist, UE3redist click on the last one download it. make sure steam is closed before downloading the required files i mean exit it completely. after it is installed reopen steam sign back in launch the game from steam normally. the first time it didnt work but the second time i tried to launch, it did and asked to download UE3redist again click okay do it again if it asks. maybe wait a minute or so idk why it took two tries.

The only other method i know is to try and clear or delete appcache

or after you download UE3redist try to verify the games files within steam..

i tried clearing the cache and verifying the file, no luck

What worked for me was trying to launch the game, then opening up Task Manager and ending it there. When I tried to launch it again, it worked perfectly and hasn't been an issue since. Worth a shot?

All i get is the 'updating executables' text when I try to open it from my steam page

Yep, and while that's going on, try ending the program in Task Manager. When Steam confirms that the program has ended, the button should go back to "Play". Try opening again after that

Hi ! I just bought and download the game. Same for me , game wont launch.... I search many solutions on internet yesterday and nothing worked ....

Sounds like any and all support for the game is dead friend, which is sad because the story line is great.
