I don't even know how this boss got through QA because it's really that atrocious and disgusting. Seriously I feel like throwing up with the amount I've been spun around just trying to beat up a Xeno that shouldn't take that long to beat and I have no idea why game developers keep on giving enemies an unfair, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grapple attacks that you can't avoid nor wriggle yourself out of (I'm lookin at you The Evil Within) - it's just lazy design and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, trying to make the game harder in an arbitrary and artificial way where you rely on luck more than skill. I just hope I would never have to use the powerloader ever again in this game because what I saw during that boss fight was horrific.
Admit it Randy from Gearbox, you lied and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up - just admit it.
I sympathise with ya mate, this is pretty sad the state of things. The game isn't any worse than any CoD game released. Though the charaters in A:CM are typically bland.
First of all: very good game. But this boss fight I have no chance, roughly as if I were a zebra fighting a lion. I think this is the end for me and Alien Colonial Marines. Unfortunately, I can not lower the difficulty level (maybe when I start the mission but I do not feel like it)
Happy to hear you enjoy the game despite that! I beat it two years ago shortly after I made this thread and in the end it turned out I absolutely despise this game.
Now I start the mission again with easy
For such a dung - power loader - there should be an award from Steam
Defeating the Raven is really easy even on Ultimate Bada$$. It's therapeutic even. You already figured out the trick, just gotta keep on hitting the Raven until it glitches through the wall and gets stuck. There's one thing to watch out for. When you grab the Raven with the power loader, it unsticks it from the wall. Immediately after releasing the Raven, resume pounding it right away!
Man I love this game
