Lurkers seem to only be interested in you, they are idiotic fast, they can take multiple rounds without fatal damage, and they almost always come in three's. You WILL learn how to use tactical weapons (claymores, prox grenades) if you want to survive.
You can't expect any assistance in tight spots. O'Neal's smartgun isn't all that smart- he seems to shoot constantly but not very effectively; plus, he frequently gets mobbed by aliens, leaving you to deal with your own plus his.
Other than that, it's just another day in the Corps.
