No DLC
This shows up only as Aliens: Colonial Marines in my library, but when i go to the product page, it's for Aliens: Colonial Marines Collection and it says I own it. I bought it, no question about that. But for the Collection, should it be showing the "Downloadable Content" group in the right-click context menu? There are a lot of games on Steam that are jacked up with respect to their versions, with the most prominent that I can think of being the Nazi Zombie Army individual games vs the packaged trilogy - I own the trilogy and still get game recommendations for each of the individuals. So, for A:CM, should I be seeing a group for the DLC or is it already included in the full install or something?

Same issue here, I own the game, but no dlc, so do I basically have to rebuy the game just to get the DLC? Seems kinda along levels of stupidity to me. x.x

when i looked the other day, i did note that the season pass is no longer available. i have it installed, but have barely played it, and not enough to even know where to find the DLC if it is in the main game now.

I'm in the same boat. I got the game, stasis interrupted and Bug Hunt, but I don't have the other minor DLCs like the ones for the extra weapons. Is there any other way to get those without having to rebuy the whole package?

strange you should get all the dlc when you bought the game. can you check at your game library scroll down your ACM page at right of the page you should see DLC, click manage DLC and make sure it is install.

I bought all those stuff before they changed to just $30 for everything. So even though in my game's library it says I have the Collection it don't have 3 of the minor DLCs and if I want them I gotta buy the whole thing.

From the Steam Client, click Library > Aliens Colonial Marines. At right margin click "Manage My DLC" and make certain all selections are enabled.

It's not that I got the last few DLCs, it's that before they made it just Collector's edition you could buy specific DLCs. Since I was getting back into the game I saw that option is gone and just lists that I have the collectors edition. So I asked them what to do and they basically said you'd have to just buy it all as they removed the option for buying individual DLCs. I'm thinking of getting a cheap key like I did for friends, but my worry is that steam will say that I already own the game and that I can't install the DLCs.

It does say "you already own the game, you will not receive a new copy" but you can install all the DLC. Wait until there's a massive discount sale on the Collection, then purchase it as per normal. Before purchase completion you'll get a popup to acknowledge that you're not buying a second copy, click "Yes" or "OK." Then let the DLC download begin.

I am in exactly the same scenario. I contacted Steam support about this and they assure me that if you purchase the collection, it will add any missing DLC to your already owned game

Oh ok that's great. I may just do that then since keys for the game on third party sites are like 10 or 11 dollars.

Just noting for anyone else in my situation--I got burned by trying to buy a Steam key for the "Aliens: Colonial Marines Collection" from G2A. Steam says it's a duplicate key, even though I am missing all but the "Sharp Sticks" DLC. So there's $11 down the drain...
spLagger Sep 11, 2021 @ 9:30pm
oh ♥♥♥♥, I actually asked SEGA about that too because I don't get the Sharp Sticks without the collection edition and they're like "you'll just need to buy the collectors edition" good to know that it wouldn't matter.
