And it's better than the pathetic anime ♥♥♥♥ they tried with 8
Considering the addition of many new gameplay modes, multiple characters to play, etc, laziness claims are just giant shows of ignorance.
Designing a game with modern features takes more effort than just copypasting sprites. Denying that shows the worst infinite ignorance.
That's not how game development works, and they actually didn't copypaste sprites. MM9 & 10 have over twice the frames per character than the original NES games do. All of them unique.
So unless they've learned magic which creates previously nonexistant animation frames, than they didn't even remotely do what you say.
(In fact, even the frames that match the existing older games are new. The original games used two sets of sprites to make Mega Man work. The new game uses single, far more complex builds. This is completely ignoring of course that Protoman and Bass never had working character sprites in the older games. Also ignoring that the new Robot Masters and all of the other characters are fresh.)
But nice try. :)
Maybe don't make things up to confirm your bias, it makes for better arguments. Also as a note, no, being modern doesn't mean more effort. There are thousands of modern games on Steam made on copy pasted assets and premade scripting builds. This was coded from the ground up, so you kind of lost that one at the concept level.
The sprites are copypasted, no matter how many frames they added. The game is a lazy work that appeals to nostalf-ags.
Personally I liked the new models like MM8, but the way they designed 9 and 10 favours both of the previously mentioned factors:
Nostalgia and currently well known capcom's laziness.
Regardless how much you may like the "new" MM games they are the best xample of laziness, and again adding a few more frames does not change that fact either.
I'd say "nice try" bad actually nope, nothing from what you've wrote was it. Try it again
You're going to have to show evidence of your accusation because it simply doesn't mesh with logic. "It looks like the NES games" isn't evidence. That was the goal.
Look at the game sweetheart, the mm model is the same from the classic games. Adding new chars, with the same graphic motor, does not contribute to a huge effort. There you have your proof honey. Try harder at least.
Also, again, you kind of disproved yourself by stating they were the same sprites. The original NES sprites were actually two seperate sprites stacked on top of each other, it was necessary in order to allow for four (five counting black) different colors on a single spite. The sprites in this game are single sheets because there is no color limit.
Well, it seems ignorance is infinite judging your words.

I'm sorry if you are blind, can't distinguish between copypaste and are too lazy to even check for yourself, I'm not gonna google more for you.
There is your proof, copypasted sprites, maybe with a bit more frames, and ofc the same graphics with new robots but that's it.
If they continued with mm8 models it would've been nice but after having improved graphics on 8 and getting back to old ones was a mistake imo, that is personal anyway, nostalf-ags may like it.
But by no means that isn't a lazy work and decision. Stay with your stubborness I won't provide you with more obvious evidence.
They're not the same sprites. It wasn't copy pasted. Post actual evidence that shows they are the same sprites.
All you're doing is ignoring what I'm saying and childishly trying to argue your original point over and over again without actually addressing the fact that that isn't evidence. You have no idea what you're talking about. You can't just "copy paste" and "add a bit more frames", then discount the fact that you're talking about a single character with with a set of 50 frames (originally there were 12, btw) and trying to pass it off as the only asset in a game with close to a hundred thousand asset frames.
All you are is a troll who actually thought a game runs on a "motor", the term is "engine" and there's no region for this because the term doesn't refer to the definition for the device that powers an automative. It's Engine as in the term for the backbone of something that creates a resulting higher functionality.
You're not going to win this by trying to badger me into agreeing with you and ignoring my argument against what you're saying is only making a monkey out of you. Do some research, stop trying to say two things are the same just because of the shallow, ill informed belief that they look strikingly similar. Looks are seriously not everything, nor are still frames reall good evidence of a final product in sprite animations.
But what do I know, I only work with sprite based games as a part of my every day life.
So, because I say motor instead of engine I'm a troll. Wow interesting. Tell me more fairy tales about lala land.
The game is new, and produced in later years compared to the original ones.
Yet the game is basically the same, no matter how many frames they added again. The one who is childish and talking dog-shi-t is actually you.
It seems blind fanboyism to its maximum here.
I've played the games, they are identical, to not say clonical copies regardless design. I guess you played them, otherwise you just like to collect without even trying them.
Denying the lazy work is just stupid and ignorant, and as I've told you b4 I'm not going to post any more evidence. It's enough, can't really help with sillyness.
Now you are the actual troll. Don't even try more because I'm not gonna bother to follow your silly and trollish game. Enjoy your copypaste "NEW" GAME LOL.

- Appealed to personal insults by trying to make basic things into negative characters aspects while using ad hominem. (IE: "Fanboy" on the basis that I'm defending something you're attacking.)
- Taking something I said and attempting to apply it to something else I said when the two things are unrelated. (My proof you know nothing about game design, the "motor" statement, versus my claim that you a troll, which is evidenced by your posting methods.
- Attempting to pawn off your actions on the person calling you out, the best indication of a troll.
2. Attempting to continue to restate an opinion as a fact without addressing anything I've stated as evidence against you accusation.
See, what you're doing is you fully well know they designed the game to look like the older games. So you're twisting that and trying to use the fact that they did such a good job of it to create a silly accusation that doesn't actually mean anything and trying to enforce it with what we call "first impression bias". Wherein you're hoping your deception is the first thing someone sees so that they believe your lie, when in reality if they were to ask anyone with practical knowledge to just look at it closer they'd point out all these mitigating facts you've tried to ignore and brush off as if they are meaningless:
- That two of the three playable characters never had these sprites ever in the older games.
- That all of the bosses are brand new and a majority of the enemies, minus a few iconics, are also new. (However some of those even have complete revamps in looks.)
- That the backgrounds and color pallettes in the game go far beyond what the NES is even remotely capable of, so acting like the assets could even logically be from an NES game are just plain lies.
Your argument:
- That somehow, two of three similar looking frames on a single sprite set within an entire game with hundreds of sprites is evidence of a copy paste.
I'm sorry sweetie, but you killed any credibility by attempting to use a "LOL" walk off statement... twice. You're here to troll. Plain and simple. Proof would be you actually addressing my points of logic listed in this post.
