go quiet for ships.
But also, change course because if they can't see you they can still predict where you went based on speed and heading.
Just go at a slower speed?
but yes a engage silent drive mode is currently still missing but wishfull added in future same as alert dive which ringed alarm sounds and made ppl run and work fast to dive as fast as possible
*edit* noticed alert call is there when u go safe deep in combat mode really nice)
in the Silent Hunter series these were present lets wait and see :)
I think currently the only things you can do is slow your speed and turn off the gyrocompass, ventilation system and auto steering engines, and appoint an officer to do it manually.
Desperately needs a proper silent running mode and a battlestations mode, all this faffing around micromanaging gets old...
My electricity is almost gone, if I surface the aircraft attack.
This is really frustrating.
Depending on your oxygen level and depth to keel my advice would be to go deep, DON'T fire any decoys at all. Try to sit on the bottom, go blue light, turn off all non essential systems. Turn off lights in all compartments except for the control room to conserve power and turn off the electric engines. Just sit there silently. Remember the convoys have to 'get somewhere' because they are delivering goods. And if destroyers leave the main convoy they won't pursue you forever b/c then they leave the convoy unguarded and other subs could sink it as well. Also aircraft have a max time they can stay airborne before they must go refuel. Your sub can outlast any aircraft b/c aircraft burn fuel at an alarming rate.
So sit silent for a bit and the situation should resolve itself. Once the convoy is far enough out (use your hydrophones to determine this) blow the tanks and surface and set course 180 degrees away from the convoy and set telegraph to flank speed. You should be able to get out alive.
What's this blue light you guys are talking about?
As far as I know, I can turn my lights to red or normal. Blue?
