The basics are absolutely built on what is expected and works within this type of game, yet we hope to see Galacticare setting itself apart from the contemporaries as people experience the full game!
You can check out our dev blog if you want a bit more insights into what systems we're tinkering with, and how we ended up making some decisions: https://blog.galacticare.com/
Theme Hospital and Two Point Hospital are both great games which we are big fans of (obviously!), and honestly we absolutely expected comments like this and aren't totally upset by it - given the relatively small size of the genre, the comparisons are of course going to happen.
We knew the bread-and-butter worked and didn't want to reinvent that. Instead our goal was to layer on a variety of systems and content to push the genre forwards - but you only really get into that later in the campaign once the basics are established.
If you're talking about the voice of Dorian Salazar, that's actually Ben Kearns!
That's a fine Matt Berry impersonation he's channelling there lol.
