Oh I've also noticed that the main reoccuring negative that comes up is they are hungry, but it's AFTER they are cured and so they ignore all food machines and just focus on leaving but it's a negative on my hopsital.
Exactly the same situation here on first hospital with patient mood stuck on 80/81%, been trying for ages to get 5* and can only get 4.9 - definitely feels like a bug. I've checked the thoughts of the patients and there's no negatives!
I've 5 starred missions 1-9 so far and am working on 10 now.
Oh, and Tic Toc (level 10) currently has massive patient waves once you unlock the second Drivethrough, so I recommend only using the initial 2 small Rooms and the one big room for the entirety of that level, as it has more than enough space to handle the first drivethrough, and if you ever need more throughput--placing down one Loam gate fixes that problem. Just don't open the second drivethrough.
Are we playing the same game? I just started on Tik Tok and the first wave has a queue on 50 patients.
I'm actually uncertain how i can beat this level since either i'm gonna lose with 10 minutes in red after unlocking the second small room, or they are all gonna die.
Honestly my issue is not the mood, but the fact that there is way to many patients while the levels gotten increasingly smaller.
I actually 5 starred level 9 before reaching 50%......thats how bad the throughput is now.
So while level 1 has issues getting enough people as you don't unlock the loam gate until level 3, the later levels has the exact opposite issues.
While, yes, the beginning of Tic Toc is difficult--especially if you're not lucky with the vendor's first two round of free items, I managed to deal with the first few rounds of patients by using this layout[i.imgur.com]. Without ever having to buy a second room. Granted, with the recent debuff to rejecting patients, I went into the red more than a few times shooing away patients I did not have the space to operate on at 5,000 credits per. Not to mention I was relying on the game spawning the 3,500 credit giving gold critters (along with the Nix consultant's 1000 credit critters) to speed up the process of getting out of debt quickly. Oh--and leveling up the Tenki Consultant to where they give every patient they operate on a Teleport buddy proved invaluable in the early game, especially permanently putting them on Diagnostic duty.
But after stabalizing in the first room, I was able to work my way to this layout[i.imgur.com], as the Patients peter out when I had that much space to work with.
Hopes, Twiggy, and Gumbo are a good squad for this.
*Only 40% of your rooms have to be spacious, meaning there's no harm in having lots of minimum sized rooms. In fact, you can get away ONLY using minimum sized rooms in chapter 1 because only one species cares
* After you complete a story level, it enters Sandbox mode. You can just keep this going, and if your income is in the green then you can safely just leave the game on overnight to grind reputation
* Most of the hidden cheevos can be done after you complete the level, as can 5 starring the level
* Keep a close eye on the Desires and Common Thoughts of patients. If they feel you have too few decoartions, start placing them around more. You don't need art deco until chapter 8, so you can just focus on Ordinary and Curious until then.
* Put teleporter pads everywhere, they drastically reduce wait times. You get them in chapter 3, and you may find yourself unlocking those first and then going back to the other levels to five star them
If I open the "mood" tab in rating, "I see no negatives", just like a previous comment said.
If that tab allowed us to more easily identify what to improve, the increase of difficulty for 5 stars that happened since the last patch would be much more manageable (litterally).
I just wanted to weigh in and let you know we're aware that Patient Mood is causing a bit of issue on the way to 5 stars. Particularly what's happening is that patients in the gantry are incorrectly being assigned a neutral mood state of decorations/cleanliness when it should be assigned to a positive state.
This can cause patient mood to drop when they're entering or leaving.
I'd expect the fix for this will be in the upcoming 1.0.5 patch.
Not entirely sure what you mean, but what i noticed is that if you got all the racial decoration + very tidy, their mood is 80%.
Basically means any patient walking around will only have 80% mood and can not get anymore.
The only 3 things that affects this mood is sitting, which ironically means the patients are much happier being stuck in a 30+ queue than walking directly between rooms, the medical rooms themself and the doctors in it, and finally the flower race racial bonus.
Currently, that racial bonus is the only reason people can get to 85%.
Which is why lower levels can't get 5 star as they can't get to 85% mood no matter what they do.
So yeah i hope you fix this issue as its no fun when you have almost 0 control on mood at all
