Game keeps telling me areas are "messy"

So apparently the game thinks I have about 14 different "messy" areas in my hospital. It even advises me to hire more medibots, which is something I don't think I can even do yet (still in the first level). But the problem is I don't see any messes.

Everything looks clean, I made sure to have enough garbage bins so there isn't any trash on the floor, and everybody seems happy with the number of toilets, but the game still keeps raising alert notifications and blaring some loud "alarm" sound because apparently it thinks my hospital is a freaking pigsty.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

I had the same issue and I found there was some trash under some placed items. I think it were vending machines. I have only found the trash during "restructuring" one of my wings. After cleaning those up UI stopped pinging me about ppl reporting "messy area" and it didn't happen again during that mission.

This is something we thought we fixed! Sorry that you're still running into it.

If you encounter this again, would you be able to make a debug save (ctrl+shift+F7) and then submit a bug report? That'll really help us in diagnosing and fixing the problem.

I'm having the same issue. I have 64 people angry over messes, but I don't see any messes and my bots are just sitting around so they don't think there are any messes. Tons of garbage cans. I don't get it. I've also noticed it only happens when either I had saved, quit, and reopened the game to play again...or towards the end of a scenario once the hospital has all its rooms and is filled with people.

Happening to me as well since loading a previous sandbox save after updating. Hadn't been an issue before the update for me.

Happening to me again right now on pc game pass build of the game. I got plenty of trashes and always says messy

I'm having this issue on gamepass as well, on a brand new swanky hospital build. No matter how many medibots, cleaning beacons etc I put down, messy areas.

We really need an overlay to show us messy areas as well, and for it to show poor areas in a different colour (I cannot see undecorated areas for the life of me)

Agreed. Messy areas and undecorated areas should be clear in the overlay views, that would help alot!

Any ETA for this fix? Still got this issue (on Game Pass) and it's pretty annoying when trying to hit 5* goals.

Yeah, I've stopped playing for now as I feel this is game-breaking for me. Really unfortunate as I enjoyed the game, but the messiness bug really ruins the gameplay for me. :(

I think I've been getting this problem on my first game and my very first level. The docking bay for the visitor shuttle (which I cannot furnish or alter) and my entrance area both trigger "messy" warnings. I've removed literally everything in the area, everything appears to be clear, I have plenty of cleaner robots - but the notice is still triggering whenever I get new visitors. Currently keeping me from 5-starring the map, which is frustrating.

Edit: Playing on Game Pass, if it matters.
