Uh. . .I wouldn't exactly call 2 years development limbo. That is pretty short for any game's development. For EA titles, it is just about right (since they had some development time before EA).

It's basically a small team working on this project. One of them is taking abreak because covid hit them pretty hard so thei'r team is at like 66% ability. They think It will be coming out this year

I think it's because of the name , Betheseda owns the right to the games Prey.

As the game was originally called Prey of the gods.
