VFC is a great game to get some inspiration for Totf 2

I have been playing this game called Virtual Fighting Championship a lot because aside from creed (which is horrible) it is the only fighting game that offers PvP (and its mile and miles better than creed).

Aside from not being a boxing game per se (which is clear by just looking at their graphics) The game at its core is excellent, the combat feels great, with very good damage calculated based on your punching power in real life, and it responsive hitbox and very very impressive net codes, and it has this stunning system which is a very creative solution to combat 'arm wiggle' and punching spamming that you often see in PvP fighting.

I feel like with totf2 being in development, it surely faces similar problems, and I think VFC offers great insights about how to combat this problem.

VFC is also in a bundle sale with totf I guess that totf dev and VFC dev must have already known each other so I think there is a lot of good things that VFC have done right that TOTF can borrow!

I play EOC (Era of Combat) to get my online boxing pvp fix. In my opinion, it's the closest to a TOTF online version. It's definitely enough that I can no longer even go back to playing Creed.

Yea I tried EoC, its okay. If you dig that raw boxing aesthetic I guess EoC hits the spot, and Eoc is definitely more TOTF-like compared to VFC which is maybe more street-fighter-ish?

Personally, I like VFC's aesthetic more, but I understand those are really subjective to personal taste

The problem with EoC right now is its single-player turned me off immediately, plus PvP is objectively not as polished as VFC right now regardless of aesthetics.

And due to me living in Australia, everyone in EoC right now is in America or Europe I guess, so I can't really find anyone to play with (with good pings) anyways, whereas VFC has a pretty healthy player pool in Oceania and Asia where I could pretty easily find a game there.

Ill do a review on EoC soon, I'm trying to setup a VRfitness review channel as a side hobby (its not going to be good, just doing this for fun lol)

Well the game was just released and just received its major update today on hit mechanics. I'd join the discord to keep up to date on the issues players are submitting and the developer is definitely listening and working on them and also active players looking for fights.

I played VFC but got a refund. That game doesn't have single player mode
