Thrill of the Fight suddenly not working on Pico 4
Hi everyone, I hope you can help because I love this game.

When I start the game, it loads into the 'weigh in' but the view in my headset is frozen, so as I move my head it just displays exactly the same image as if I'd kept my head perfectly still from the moment of launch. When I look at the screen on my pc, it looks like everything is working fine. This has never happened before (I've played this a lot), and now it happens every time.

Things I can think of that might've changed since last time it worked:
- I changed the Thrill of the Fight settings so the pc shows the action in third person.
- I turned on hand tracking on my device (Pico 4). I've tried turning this setting off and restarting the headset and my pc but I'm still getting exactly the same issue.

I am currently using an older steamVR version (SteamVR[temp_v1.27.5]) because the newest version was causing me issues when playing nonvr games in my headset. I think I've played Thrill of the Fight since I did this but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks in advance for anything that gets this running for me again!

I'm not sure what could be causing this issue for you and why it would suddenly be happening. It sounds like the PC is running the game fine, but the streaming software you're using isn't sending the image feed back up to your Pico 4.

Is it possible the streaming app you use to play PC games on Pico updated? Assuming you can roll back to the old SteamVR version again, you might try updating to the latest version of SteamVR just to see if that makes it work or not.

You might also try switching to the TotF beta branch, as it's running newer versions of various SDKs than the main branch is.

I have the same problem with my Pico 4. What helps is to take the headset off so it will go on stand-by and put it back on again.

I also get that problem more often lately when i'm in the middle of the fight to the point it becomes unplayable.

(My streaming software is up to date as well as my SteamVR)

I don't have a Pico headset to test with, and I'm not very familiar with them, so apologies for needing to ask this. Am I right that Pico has its own PC streaming software called Streaming Assistant or something like that? I believe you can also use Virtual Desktop with Pico, right?

Which software are you (both of you) using to stream?

Thanks for the quick responses - I'm currently using Pico Streaming Assistant in USB mode. I don't have Virtual Desktop to try it with.

I'll try the suggestions you've mentioned and see if it works

Sorry it's been ages, I've not been gaming much recently but I wanted to let you know that whatever the issue was, TOTF is working fine again for me now. I did change back to the most recent version of SteamVR maybe that was the issue.

Today I updated Steam, but the problem remained. (However, it’s Steam’s fault.
It's a pity Totf is not in the pico store...(
