However, as explicitly stated on the store page, the game is room-scale only with a minimum required play area size and does not support joystick movement. It was designed around real-world movement as if you were in a miniature boxing ring. Some people play with smaller than recommended play areas, but it's probably going to feel like the opponent stays too close to you.
From TotF's Steam store description:
"Oculus Quest is not supported. Do not purchase the PC version of The Thrill of the Fight to play using the Quest headset. Oculus Link does not fully implement all of the room scale features that The Thrill of the Fight relies on to work properly. The only functional and supported way to play The Thrill of the Fight on Quest is to play the native Quest version."
Meta is aware of the issue, but I'm unsure when or if they plan to fix it. I don't think it's a high priority for them since so few room-scale games exist.
Just here to thank Ian for a fantastic game. I recently bought the Quest 2 VR set specifically for Thrill of the Fight (love the Eye of the Tiger reference there) and have been having a ball with it. Cheers! 🍻
