Hello everyone!

Some players have been creating their own custom glove graphics and making various threads that will likely get lost on later pages after a few weeks. I'm making this thread so that you can post your custom glove textures here where they'll stay pinned at the top of the forum.

Instructions for making your own custom gloves:
First go to the game's install directory in your file explorer. You can get there quickly by right clicking The Thrill of the Fight in Steam, choosing "Properties" from the drop-down menu, clicking the "Local Files" tab, and clicking the "Browse Local Files" button. From there, look in the "game_Data/StreamingAssets/CustomGear" directory, and you will see an instructions file and two template image files. Simply edit those template images however you want and resave them in the same directory, but without the "_removethispart" part of their names. If you want to use text or images, you'll need to make a separate image for the left glove called "custom_gloves_left.png".

One of the forum-goers here named Rugeezy was kind enough to make a video going through these steps (thread here). Note that this video was made before you could make a separate left hand image.

After having researched boxing glove design a bit, I ended up designing a dark glove with a neo-glo motif of a skull. I originally drew the artwork for a martial-art releated project that just never kicked off. So I think it is kind of fitting to use it here. The glove comes in five different colors.

I'm not entirely sure where the palm areas is on the map, exactly, but the thumb seems to be located in the upperright:

Hey, sorry I missed this. Currently you can't change the mat colors or logo, but that's something I can certainly look into adding.

Any plan for future modding support like custom opponents? It would be a blast to box against Ryu or Ken from Street Fighter. Though I figure that the location and physics based mechanic would actually make that a lot more complicated than I thought.

Oh, maybe modding could be something to add more eyeballs to the game. I'd love to recreate a fight night round 3 mood!

I've put some thought into this in the past, and it may still be something I try to do in the future, but I haven't yet worked out a good way for creators to define where all the colliders and weak point triggers should be.
