Judge me not - config.cdf CHEAT does not work, WHY?
yes, I used the C word. Maybe I got too tired of Thalya dieing or my level 3 monsters getting CRUSHED by overwhelming numbers.

If the game insists on throwing 2 novices a Priestess, THREE GUNNERS (with their cannons) AND a Swordmaster at my level THREE monsters - hell yes I want an advantage.

Doing an internet search, you can find out HOW to change this file so you can use the INSTALLED CHEAT CODES. (Yes, INSTALLED).

The short question: after doing alll the mentioned aspects of changing the CFG, then pressing the (tilde) ` key in game does not bring up the installed cheat menu. WHY NOT?

Long description of events (AKA how to change the cfg)

1) in the lower left corner of your PC is the serach box, enter this" %appdata%
you will see the result with "File folder" under it. Click it. You want that.

2) select the Kalypso Media folder (double click it)

3) double click "Dungeons 3"

4) right click the confiog.cfg file on the list

5) select "OPEN WITH".
Here my PC gave me the option to find something in the Microsoft store to pen it. You do NOT need this.
There is a tiny wording near the bottom: "More options" Click that, select NOTEPAD.
NOT WORD, NOT WORD PD; NOTEPAD. NOTEPAD will NOT add any added code things like the others will; added things are BAD.

5) Scroll all the way to the bottom, Press ENTER twice (for the new line of code)

6) enter the following: Debug EnableCheats = True.

7) Press the "Ctrl" and "S" keys to save the file. The file will save with the same file format, with the CFG file extension preserved.

Done? Right? Please see short short question; and please, no negative comments.
I bought the game; it is mine and I do not (ever) play PVP.

Hmm. From what I'm seeing you might have typed the line in wrong. From my system (where it is working) the line is:

Debug.EnableCheats = True

With a period between Debug and Enable. Try that.
