Maybe reword that first part. So this is basically Evil Genius type of game?
I haven't played it in a year or so, but the entire campaign and the campaign DLC's are all playable solo or with a second player controlling it at the same time. Me and my bud separate out the duties, I handle the RTS, he focuses on economy and base building.
WarCraft 3 is a mandatory micromanagement & dozens-of-actions-per-minute-glorifying-fest designed to cater to eSports-type players. For those reasons, I don't like it either.
Dungeons 3 looks similar to WarCraft 3, but the gameplay isn't similar at all. In Dungeons 3, the gameplay is much more simple than in WarCraft 3, and in Dungeons 3 there is very little micromanagement BS. For the most part, you can let your creatures fight automatically in Dungeons 3 and they will do just fine.
Occassionaly you might want to click on your healers to move them to the back of your army, and cast some special spells, but stuff like that is very minimal in Dungeons 3. Whereas in WarCraft 3, micromanagement is maximal to the extreme.
i was big fan of warcraft 2 but that was pure rts and completly diferent art design
