Steam deck crashes
I just wanted to report that the game crashes in my SD, is a closed system so should be easy to track. I could play 1 game on the first floor (40 min run, no problem) and I had to lower the graphics to get through the elevator scene. Tried 6-8 games now on B1 and nothing... It always crashes finishing the elevator scene.
Kind regards.

Hey try to run the game in windowed mode and if the steam deck have a "Bios" like a desktop pc. look for "turbo" settings and turn them off this works for me on my desktop. i had the same trouble like you and i dont think its related to the steam deck.

Damn, I have the exact same problem here, first level worked pretty alright but second level crashes the Deck completely. Weird.
I have the game installed on the main SSD.

I fiddle up a bit with the proton version and got it to work a bit more stable, also I think now there is less server congestion it works better. My thoughts also were in ppl using ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pcs than a SD crashing the game (or pirate versions) well, who knows…

Oooo, mind sharing how you made it more stable if you remember? Been trying to fix for a while to no avail myself
