How do you matchmake with friends?

I would like to play this game with a friend, and I would also like to open the lobby so random people can join as well, is that a possibility? am looking all over the internet and i can't seem to find my answer, we happy with bots, but it would also be nice to play with randoms.

The GTFO matchmaking system is dogsh*t, if you want to be able to play with friends and randoms then join the discord, they will explain more there. There is a matchmaking system in the game if you haven't noticed, but as I said, it's pretty crappy, if you end up using it you have to wait fo a minimum of 30 min just to one or two people. So ya, just join the discord, the link should be in the game menu.

And the reason to that is because the devs chose to use discord as a matchmaking platform instead of busting their ass to code in game a matchmaking system.

All this nonsense, when in reality there was never need for a proper matchmaking/lobby list, because community preferred LFG anyway. Tell me, how many times you play other co-op games, and you get people to talk? Or chat? Now try to think what would happen in a game where cooperation is NEEDED to succeed. With LFG you at least know there is a human being on the other side of your p2p connection, so why bother downgrading to matchmaking, when the best solution is already there.
