Is there a way to mod a 5th player in

I have group of 5 its hard to play 4 player games we all love without leaving anyone out, Or imbalancing teams or having to replay the game for individuals.

No, it is not possible. As I understand (limited), the game is hard coded around 4 players meaning you'd have to completely re-code the game at a fundamental level.

I'm sure someone with far more experience can give a more accurate reason as to why, but the fact remains:

There is a mod called PlayerSlotExpander which lets you add more player slots, but it has not been updated in a year, and dev says it probably does not work. I tried it and it does add another slot in the lobby screen but I could not say if it actually works.
