Game crashes on startup
So my game has started to crash every time I open it. It loads up to the epilepsy warning and promptly crashes. Sometimes it pops up with that Unity crash window and sometimes it doesn't. One weird thing that makes me think there might be a problem with my computer rather than the game is that sometimes when it crashes it also freezes Discord and Opera GX but idk.

Ive tried a lot to fix it. Verifying game files, reinstalling, restarting my computer, running the .exe as administrator, deleting the game + some other files related in appdata then reinstalling, I even changed the resolution of my monitor to see if that did anything. None have worked. One thing i noticed was when the game crashes my GPU in task manager is maxed. I know that's probably the reason for the crash i just don't know why its happening or how to fix it.

my specs:
GPU: RTX 4070ti
CPU: i9-9900k
16GB DDR4 RAM
the game is installed on a SSD if that matters

I have a similar issue (although I don't have any problems with other apps or the GPU) - the game crashes right after the epilepsy warning screen. I tried almost everything to try to fix this, but the only thing that really helped was deleting the game settings folder. Path to game settings files: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\10 Chambers Collective\GTFO. You mentioned deleting appdata files, so you've probably already done that, but maybe it will help someone else.

You need to delete GeneratedIcons folder in X:/Users/Your username/AppData/LocalLow/10CC

HA I FIXED IT. So i did some snooping around and found the unity crash logs in X:/Users/Your username/AppData/Local/Temp/10ChambersCollective. In the crash logs i noticed it say "UnityPlayer.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)" which turns out to be the problem.

This site has multiple documented fixes for the "Access Violation". The one that worked for me was going into my BIOS and turning off XMP Extreme Memory Profile.

I hope this helps anyone with the same issue as me and I wish you good luck!

So you are saying the fix is to set your RAM to base frequency in the BIOS? That's not a fix bro.
