Just leave this game alone, please. Take these ideas somewhere else, but not here.
i agree.
If the game is going to be difficult like it is now, maybe have the ability to upgrade systems, turrets, weapons, etc or expand more on the artifacts would be a better choice since its in the game already. Live service is a terrible model but in a way, that's what we have now but without having to pay. I think I would rather support the game by buy cosmetics, addons (See generation zero for an example), and there one more but I cant think of it at the moment. If the problem is player base, meaning not enough people buying it, then have the current player base support the game by doing what I just said. I thought about an RPG style leveling system but its dumb. I mean it works for generation zero, it MAY work similarly for gtfo but it would need to be implemented similarly and carefully. Personally, I like an old fashion shoot up like this game like it is now.
But i wouldnt want to use real money to buy cosmetic items as they are already in-game and buying them would take away the use of the cosmetics as you need to complete difficult levels to earn them, as well as the rundown completion cosmetics, which would take away any challenge earned from them.
It is like in most things in life (movies, music, art, etc.), the good stuff is not appreciated by the mainstream :D
where 4 characters descend into caves to retrieve something? warhammer darktide for one...
Every game is a copy of a game. Grabbing elements of said game and this game and that game to make another game is NOT a bad thing. Napoleon Hill once said that there is nothing in this world that has been invented that's been perfected.
