The devs are known for not fixing bugs. They have not fixed the checkpoint bugs (run ending bugs!) since december 2021 when they got introduced.
Liquid bug was there since launch of Early Acces iirc and still has not been fixed.
This is a well known bug that you can add to the very long list of not fixed/not gonna be fixed bugs.

Bugs after content?
I've been playing for about 3 weeks now with a group of 4 pretty consistently. One time one guy crashed on a laptop. Zero bugs that I've encountered first hand.
Disclaimer : still on R1.
*Edit : Discord for coms
Ask around on the official discord. it's well known to be a visual bug
Yeah we've got an entire thread about it on the discord
It's just colloquially known as bio bug
