How do you command bots to stealth melee enemies?

You don't. Bots can shoot while stealthing as NOTHING a bot does will wake up enemies, including shooting

so if I'm stealthing and the bots move to stand themselves next to specific enemies, they are basically setting up to attack them as soon as they aggro (I hit the one that is next to it)?

No you have to stealth everything yourself. If enemies wake up tho THEn they will start smacking/shooting .

Keep in mind that you will NOT finish this game with bots tho. Just fair warning in advance

The bots will melee as long as you are crouched near sleeping enemies, If there are more than one and you kill an enemy, the bot will attempt to melee the alerted enemy. You shouldn't really need the bots help with melee in stealth if you know the alert ranges and how to kill enemies without waking up others (hit when enemies aren't flashing/croaking and don't move afterwards) If you are playing solo, sneaking past rooms is much more effective than attempting risky solo clears or as an alternative you can wake up enemies and run back to a door that can be closed and put a mine behind it to clear the enemies.

they will try and help taking down enemies that awaken. They are not bad at it.
If you get them close to a giant, you can usually take it down with the bots. It's pretty nice.

But as others have said, they will not replace real players. You will not finish the game with just bots.

I know, but if you can't get a full team, it helps to know what you can and can't make the bots do when you make a plan.

If you melee a one sleeper in a cluster of enemies, they'll try to melee any enemy that may wake up of said cluster. This applies to giants too. Bots hit hard like they charged their weapon, but doesn't matter which weapon they use.

when i got this game a few months ago, bishop was taking out sleepers right n left what changed?

Nothing. Bots never were able to wake up enemies. If enemies woke up it was on you or a teammate

Late to this thread, but this is only partially true. The bots hit and do 16 damage no matter what. So give them all knives

Bots use a custom melee made specifically for them that has unique stats, so the melee choice for them is literally just a skin.
