is it possible to play the game with only being 2 player ?

i hesitate to buy this game since i will probably just play with one of my friend and also since there is only 10 mission that changes every so often, what will happen when the dev will stop making new mission ? the game will just die ? no replay ?

it's gonna be very hard, if you know the layout and how the game works it can work but if not, don't try it

so the difficulty is standard what ever the condition. there is no scaling. at least i imagine that we have more supply then if we were 4 since we do not need to split up we might buy it this christmass, i need to see more

You won't finish the game. Just gonna tell you straight.

Duo runs are done as challenge runs and these guys have up to 1.5k hours of knowledge behind them.

But feel free to try

They have stopped removing missions and are only going to add more, so there will be 70+ missions when they are all brought back, then atleast 1 more rundown to add even more.

You can bring bots for additional support and with bots you can beat atleast half of the levels in the game with about the same difficulty as with players. a few of the later levels are pretty much impossible though without atleast 3 players without exploits or extreme kiting.

If you don't want to bring bots then yes you will have a hard time and it won't be fun unless you really just enjoy dark souls level of difficulty and failing over and over.

I bought this game just as a duo with another friend of mine and still played alot solo and with bots and I still enjoyed it (granted I am basically obsessed with this game so take this with some bias) I did eventually start playing with randoms on discord though and its easy to find new players and hardened players on alike.

If you don't have any other games you are interested in buying I would recommend.

If you watch video of player who can doing solo and complete the mission without bots. You'll start the feeling like 4 players are too powerful.. I think the best way to experience the game is to play duo or solo [If you're not scare of background audio]

I've completed all level A B with just 2 Duo. It's more fun than 4 players because 4 players have too much resources of tool and gun defending but Duo or solo you have to do everything by yourself including self awareness pick right tool right gun
survival ability kiting etc.

you should be able to complete probably about half of each rundown with just 1 person. With the 2 of you i'm sure you could complete several rundowns all the way through. Even if you don't and you 2 aren't good enough to beat the hardest levels in each rundown... does that even matter. When all the missions are added back to the game we're gonna have a co op game with like 70 missions.... so what if you 2 can only beat 50 of them.

Don't really take what they're saying to heart. The game is largely finishable with 2 persons.

However, the difficulty will mostly come from your mental health than the game itself. It's really hard, but you'll only finish a level if you try it again and again if you fail.
It is a game where playing will give you enough experience to do it all, it's just not gonna be a breeze.

Do brace yourselves for potentially game-ending bugs OR just the bots doing stupid bot things that WILL ruin your games. If you can get past this, it is extremely fun to duo it.

And since they'll be remaking the old levels too, I do think it's the right time to pick it up.

They're quite finicky and do strange decisions sometimes, but having them is still quite mandatory (Personally) since there is no scaling whatsoever of difficulty. (They do still have items, an 'inventory' and for example turrets that you can command them to place where you want them.)

You can however put them in and out -during- an expedition. Which means if they're bugged or make you waste time by being stupid, you can just get them out and add them in when the problematic part is passed.

You can definitely play with only 2... I only have 200 hours (not 1500 like the other guy said is needed) and have completed solo (with bots) all R1 missions and R7 excluding D/E tier: this is 80% of available main missions you can do solo once you get a bit skilled. 2 people can complete every mission but the last few are extremely hard!

With two people it will be a great experience, start on R1, take bots, and learn as you go :)

but I highly recommend using the official discord to find extra teammates. It's easy to do and most people are chill and will help you learn.

Have fun
