I'm loving this game, it's atmosphere is incredible, and i can't wait to get a couple of my friends to explore the terror together with me!
tl:dr Adjusting my game to run in 1920x1080 windowed borderless fixed my issue. I'm loving this game.
The bug I am referring to is on start up, not near the end of a mission.
-Did as inspector-81 suggested and uninstalled the game, deleted those files, then reinstalled
-Updated my display driver
-Restarted my computer
-Changed the display resolution of my computer close to the resolution I had set in the game (lowered it to like 800x600 or something)
-Booted up the game
Before this I was also having no luck uninstalling/reinstalling and checking the integrity of the game files, but something I did managed to get it working. Hope this works for someone in the meantime before this gets fixed by the devs!
Someone explained where to find the folders just above.
Edit: forcing steam to stop using task manager stops the game allowing me to play it now but the problems still remains when i leave the game, i have to repeat the process of stopping steam itself.
