Games Crashing on Start with a "GTFO - Unity" Window.
There is a known issue some players encounter where the game crashes on start up with a "GTFO - Unity" window. This can usually be fixed with the following steps:

1. Uninstall game on steam.
2. Delete the following folders:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\10 Chambers Collective\
C:\Users\USERNAME\Appdata\Local\Temp\10 Chambers Collective\
3. Install the game

If this does not resolve the problem, you can find detailed instructions on filing a bug report here:

i have this issue

So i was having issues with the game crashing frequently, especially during the first missions start-up, or at the first alarmed gate pretty consistently (even after following the guidelines listed above). i was able to mitigate (if not completely fix) the issue all-together by installing recent drivers and changing start-up settings. I installed the most recent drivers from Nvidia, and through Nvidia's game launcher, adjusted the settings of GTFO's start-up to launch the game at 1920x1080, in windowed borderless. this has caused no further crashes after several attempts of the game!

I'm loving this game, it's atmosphere is incredible, and i can't wait to get a couple of my friends to explore the terror together with me!

tl:dr Adjusting my game to run in 1920x1080 windowed borderless fixed my issue. I'm loving this game.

The bug I am referring to is on start up, not near the end of a mission.

ME TO ? :jawdropping:
Hey! I've been having this issue and I ended up being able to fix it, although I'm not sure what specifically I did actually did the trick. I'm half thinking I ended up being lucky, but I'll leave what I did in this thread so maybe it'll work for someone else though!

-Did as inspector-81 suggested and uninstalled the game, deleted those files, then reinstalled
-Updated my display driver
-Restarted my computer
-Changed the display resolution of my computer close to the resolution I had set in the game (lowered it to like 800x600 or something)
-Booted up the game

Before this I was also having no luck uninstalling/reinstalling and checking the integrity of the game files, but something I did managed to get it working. Hope this works for someone in the meantime before this gets fixed by the devs!

If your game stuck at launch, try checking Resource Monitor, if GTFO.exe shows up as suspended, just resume it, I discovered this accidentally while using Task Manager, note that this is not a permanent fix, going into Resource Monitor and resuming the GTFO.exe process is required on every launch.

You need to note down your Windows user/account name, normally, there should be 2 folders under the directory C:\Users, one called Public and another named after your Windows user/account name, then follow the instructions from there.

my game says stop as if its playing but its not, it wont start, and also an unknown error appears when i try to uninstall it. please help fix this.
Edit: forcing steam to stop using task manager stops the game allowing me to play it now but the problems still remains when i leave the game, i have to repeat the process of stopping steam itself.

I am not familiar with that problem. I would suggest submitting a bug report with the error log.

You can find a link to bug reporting in game on start up, or on the GTFO discord. There is more information in the bug reporting channel on their discord.
