How do you change characters?
I noticed some people get the cool characters right off the bat, the guy wearing the hoodie or the cool gas mask. I didn't get to choose and got stuck with one of the weaker looking characters, how do you change characters? Or is it random and your just stuck with whoever the game chooses?

You unlock cosmetics when you complete missions.
There is a cast of 4 different unique characters, these are random / maybe based on the order of player number when joining a game

Oh so they made them random? Back in EA the characters were locked to player slot, meaning the host was ALWAYS the same person.

It's not random. Depending on the order in which you join, host gets Woods, 2nd gets Dauda, 3rd gets Hackett and the 4th gets Bishop. They haven't added an option to play as your favourite characters only, not yet anyways.
