What the heck?
Does developers already added some feature or anything aside of "new" rundowns? Guess there is still nothing new (Guns/weapons/enemies?) or features like basic Matchmaking for online COOP? Own game for a while (2 years?) so im just asking if i throw money thru window or not

Hey there. I recommend taking a look at our patch notes and roadmap, as we've released a lot of features, including matchmaking.

We've created many new weapons, tools, and enemies/variations. There are plenty more new enemies that we'll be adding in the future, along with weapon and character customization.

New enemies are like.. two new enemies since rundown 2. Mother and the Hydra (or fcking tank i dont care which name we use)

They mostly release enemy variations. And things that basically add nothing new to the game. rooms reseting is not something that i would call new, sure it didnt happen before but its not something that i would get super hyped about, and the treasure hunt well.. weird perk system lets just stay at that.

For game's defense, I've spent more time playing it than I usually spend on large singleplayer game playthrough (over 100h). I'd say it was worth my money in long run.
What bothers me about the game is that development is very slow with changes mostly unimportant and/or unfun. All the potential feels like going to waste. R1 was a blast for starters but I expected it to be bigger than that so I kinda considered my purchase as investment.
At this point, if you don't feel like your money are well spent now you probably won't feel they are for months if not years to come (given development won't be abandoned by that time).

By "Matchmaking for online COOP" OP probably meant so you could matchmake as premade reliably.

^All i got for the game's defense that it used to be good, R1 was Amazing i would say flawless, R2 was scratching new difficulties and on later levels the problem of unbalanced enemies and combat started to rise up still okay, Then that point onwards the game spiraled into this madness of spamming scouts as a "MORE DIFFICULT MISSION" And making everything less fun with stupid enemeis that are just reskins and nothing new, Look here is this scout that does the same as before but now its invisible and there is 10 of them in the same room, oh look here is this scout that has spikes on it it works the same as well but you cant oneshot it alone anymore so good luck coordninating a takedown with your team on a moving enemy in a room with sleeping enemies all over the place while the scout sometimes decides to ♥♥♥♥ even one person over by making a sharp 180 turn or walking on a paintcan to dodge your precise hammer attack by raising its head just enough for you to miss in the last second oh and there is more than one of them in the room so good luck, yeah very fun new addition to the game. Ah yeah also respawning enemies, i also talked about how that could be super fun and interesting but noooo, the devs just say
"mhm thanks for the feedback, dont worry we will make new exciting things." Which leads to this garbage respawning enemies thing.

Im in a salty mood so thats why im a bit harsher than i like to be.

R1 was incredibly unbalanced. Scouts were heavily underused, B1 was practically an A tier, D1 was practically a C tier, and C1 was incredibly easy if you set up sentries correctly. It was fine for a first rundown, but it absolutely wasn't "perfect" and it couldn't stay that way.

What unbalanced enemies did R2 spam? Shadow titans were only ever used in side zones and started asleep. Not to mention, they're on E1, you're not supposed to have an easy time.

Charger scout can't 180 if you force it to send out feelers. In other words, it can only screw you if you don't know what you're doing. Just shoot it and deal with the room if you have that much trouble, the only expeditions where it can be very expensive to do so are D1 in extreme and E1, which are supposed to be difficult to begin with. Even then, you can foam it for a very free kill. As far as low effort variants go, the charger scout is probably the best of them. Actually takes some skill and coordination to deal with, a very good addition.

There have never been 10 shadow scouts in the same room unless you have really bad RNG, and that's only possible in the hardest areas of R4 and R5. Having a lot of them demands consistency, it would be incredibly easy for most people otherwise.

If you don't enjoy the difficult content, then don't play it.

Last update with a new weapons, levels, and mechanics was april 29 (and i don't talk about R5 EXTENDED upadte which was june 23).
