How does matchmaking work?

Been following this game since it hit Steam EA, and have been waiting to see if they could figure out how to matchmake for a game this hard. How is it working so far? Is there an expectation to already know how to do the latest missions?

MM is there but nobody uses that.
"Everybody" in the community uses discord.

Last time i tried the MM took me 42 mins to get into a team.

As long as you don't have a team or not willing to use discord to find one, this is not your game and it wont be.

You can normally use the in-game matchmaking for the first few beginner levels. Discord LFG usually works up to around D tier. And the final level usually require 3 other capable friends to play with, as it requires certain degree of execution that you wont get from randos in the discord.

i know there is one but that can be the same haft the time your better off getting ppl you know on to play it

If there really are people being elitist at you in the normal chats, the beginner chat is a lot less so since its full of beginners learning the game. I can understand this could be frustrating when you want to complete a certain expedition but struggle to since your teammates are new, but ime, ive never got a toxic group through the normal lfg yet. You may just be getting unlucky

How can they confirm your online? You should obviously mess up during actual gameplay for them to kick you out. If bad performance is the case, then git gud.
If everything is that bad and they're actually filter by online: you can always hide your profile and lie if needed, you owe them nothing.

Beginner channel is barely an option as there is no division between regions, all of them are simply piled up together. Literally a place for new players to (play) GTFO and not bother da l33t playahz

Man I wish this game had Bots of something. I absolutely LOVE the concept and everything I've seen- but I really don't like multiplayer and I don't know anyone who has this game. Kind of like Hunt: Showdown.... want to get it but it leans so hard on multiplayer that I've held off on buying both so far. With Hunt I personally think that it would be a blast to have the game as-is but have a PvE mode. I know there is a limited version of that but I suppose I mean more fleshed-out.
